this place and enjoyed the anniversary
of this lodge. After the usual exerci

est address, after which the conversa

icecream and cakes. It was pleasant
and inspiring to look upon the scene.

The (iond Templars of Smyrna had
their annual picnic at Holly creek on
last Wednesday. It wy- a day of ex-

Fishing, chatting and eourling were in
order, and all returned home late in the
evening wishing they could spend
many such pleasant days.
Saturday afternoon, about < o I’lat’k,
the house occupied by Mrs. I‘rilchen
aud family , and owned hy A. Demp
sey. was entirely destroyed by fire.—
I'lie fire originated overhead in the
-love-room, and before discovered had
made such progress a- to baffle all eflorl

niture, apparel, etc., belonging to the
family, was saved. No insurance.
