An English analyst recently received
twelve specimens of supposed butter,
which ho was supposed to analyze to dis

oleomargarine. After* taking what ho
wanted be set the twelve plates in ids
laboratory. Next morning the butter
had disappeared from ten and on two it
remained. Tiieso two were adulterated

he set out other plntes, some containing

away, tho slightly adulterated half eaten
and the much adulterated only nibbled.
