Too Good to Keep.
The following dialogue between
druggist Hodges and a drummer is
too good to keep:
Hodges—“Why, how are you old
fellow? You are looking so much
better. That bottle of medicine I
fixed up for you was just the thing,
wasn’t it? It just built you up.”
Drummer, grinning mischievous
ly—“Well, not exactly. I didn’t
take your medicine at all; but got
some medicine from another fellow.”
The bystanders whooped, and
George, seeing the cream of the joke
as well as the rest, joined in with all
his might.

The Brunswick Riflemen and the
Atlantic Baud reached the city to
day at noon from Columbus, whither
they have been to “ illustrate Bruns
wick,” roport having a splendid
time, and the very best treatment.
The universal verdict of all the mili
tary there was that they all wanted
to come to St. Simons next spring,
without fail. Those who had not yet
been to the sea shore, but had sim
ply heard of it, were :to eager as the
others. From a! 1 we can learn, our
boys, neither civilian nor military,
hung their heads, when tho Atlantic
Baud made the music; they were‘as
proud of the band as of the "Sojer
Boys.”
