Wishing to form an idea how much
money was burned Tuesday in the
shape of fireworks, wo called on
Messrs. H. T.' Dunn, and Bostwick
Bros., tho principal dealers in these
goods, Mr. Frank Dunn informed
us that they had sold in town about
8500 worth, and Mr. Qfrlie Bostwick
that they had sold near about $1,000.
Add to this $500 more by smaller
dealers, and we hare tho astonishing
figures of $2,000, enough to have sent
a missionary to China or educated
one hundred children one' year, or
fed several families a whole' year.
