after visiting London made unfiivor

sabre and baton, and to strengthen his
argument he quoted the example of
Johann Przygoda who drove at a fu

towards the crowded Alexander plats
disregarding a copper’s warning hand.
The policeman seized the reins ami
and stopped the truck, but as soon ns
he let go the reins, the driver whipped
up the horses and drove off at a gal

took him by means of a street-car, the
driver gave him a taste of his fists,
whereupon the copper drew his sword,
and drove it through the teamster's
hand and afterwards wounded him in
the head, and also seriously wounded
the driver's brother who tried to
shield him from the sword of the po

Two days ago the brother of the
dead man received a letter from a
relative In which It was slated that a
clairvoyant who had been consulted
had given a detailed description of
the murder and of the perpetrator
"He was'murdered." said the clair

While on the ground he was struck a

Owing to this communication, M.

victim, visited a spot near the works

THE DEATH OF LITTLE
ELLISON EDWARDS
I
The death of Walter Ellison Ed
wards, infant son of Mr. anil Mrs.
Walter Edwards, occurred on the ittu
inst., at 1 p. m„ at the family home
on the Milledgevllle Road.
As the dew drop glistening in the
early dawn is kissed into heaven by
the rising sun so passed the tender
young soul of this baby boy to join
the angel chorus around the Great
White Throne.
Though but a scant two years mark
ed the earthly career of little Ellison
Edwards there was lavistied on him
all tlie tenderest love of parents and
grand parents.
His curly locks and sunny smiles
wreathed into clinging vines of hap
piness which wrapped their tendrils
around the hearts of loving nn'>s and
sent the golden rays of sunshine
gleaming and searching to dispel the
gloom from darkened corners of hum
drum life.
The throbbing of his little heart
has ceased, the patter of his llttw
fe-'t is stillpd; no more will baby
voice lisp in sweetest accents the
call to mama, or his velvet hands
cuddle close into daddy’s*bosom But
though the dear little tenement ot
clay lies peacefully in the snowy
white coffin covered witli a wealth of
pure sweet blossoms bedewed with
tears of loving ones, and they tell
as he is dead we know
’There is no death! the choicest gifts
“That heaven hath kindly lent to
earth,
“Are ever first to seek again
"The country of their birth.’ ’
“The voice of bird-like melody
“That we shall miss and mourn so
long
"Now mingles with the angel choir
“In everlasting song."
"He is not dead! lie is but passed
‘‘Beyond the mists that hind us
here,
“Into the new and larger life
"OT that serener sphere.”

family of Mr. and Mrs. Edwards arid
