AIKEN SOCIETY
Aiken, S. C.—With a big golf tour
nament on the interest in polo seems
to have subsided a little. In the pre
liminary round handicap match play
for the Iselan cup, which began Mon

among them being the most prominent
tourists. Quite a few have come from
the winter resorts in Florida sinco the
weather has become normal again and

The Aiken polo team goes to Camden
on Friday and Saturday to play for
the southern circuit cups. The team
is composed of Brown, Paul, M. C.
Flenschman and K. W. Hopping and
will prove a very formidable foe fur
the camden team.
A match was played on the Whitney
field Monday afternoon between the
Tigers and Aiken, the former winning
by seven goals to six. The line-up
was as follows: Martin, Wilson, Brown,

How to Make the Best
Cough Remedy at Home
A Family Supply al Small Coil,
and Fully Guaranteed.
Make a plain syrup by mixing one
pint of granulated sugar and ft pint of
warm water and stir for 2 minutee.
Put 2ft ounces of pure I’inex (fifty
cents’ worth) in a pint bottle, and fill it
up with the Sugar Syrup. This gives
you a family supply of the best cough
syrup at a saving of $2. It never spoils,
'lake a teaspoouful every one, two or
three hours.
The effectiveness of this simple remedy
is surprising. It seems to take hold al
most instantly, and will usually con
quer an ordinary cough in 24 hours.
Jt tones up the jaded appetite and is
just laxative enough to lie helpful in
a cough, and has a pleasing taste.
Also excellent for bronchial trouble,
bronchial asthma, whooping cough and
spasmodic croup.
This method of making cough remedy
with I’inex and Sugar Svrup (or
strained honey) is now used in more
homes than an’/ other cough syrup.
This explains why it is often imitated,
though never successfully. Jf you try
it, use only genuine Pinex, which is a
most valuable concentrated compound
of Norway white pine extract, and is
rich in guaiacol and other natural
healing pine elements. Other prepara
tions will not work in this combination.
A guaranty of absolute satisfaction,
or monev promptly refunded, goes with
this preparation. Your druggist has
Pinex, or will get it for you. If not,
send to The I'inex Co., Ft. Wayne, Ind.
