Game.
Charleston, S. C.—ln one of the
most exciting and the first extra in
ning game of the local season, Char
leston defeated Augusta in a ten-in
ning contest yesterday, 5 to 4. The
Gulls tied the game in the ninth, and
came back in the tenth, after the vis
itors had scored two runs, and regis
tered three more tallies. Manager
Brouthers was fined and put out of
the game by Umpire Miran.

In One of Snappiest Games
of the Season Yesterday
Afternoon.
Macon, Ga.—Macon defeated Jack
sonville Tuesday afternoon in one ot
the snappiest games of the season,
due principally to the superior pitch
ing of Villazon and the all-around
work of the Macon team. Wilier
pitched good ball until the seventh
when three hits, one a hoiner by
Munn scoring Gonzalez ahead, assist
ed by his own error and Krebs’ passed
ball, netted for runs and the game.
The series stands one and one, and
this is Jacksonville’s second dfeat of
the season.
