man, District Deputy, W. O. W., of this
town, makes the following statement:
"Permit me to describe my experi
ence of the wonderful curative powers
of Thedford's Black-Draught.
It has nut only relieved me of indi
gestion and heart trouble, but I also
believe it has affected a permanent
cure in Fistula, with which I suffered
terribly at the same time that I had
indigestion and heart trouble.
As I have not suffered from fistula
for the past two years, and as I had
no operation, nor used any other medi
cine, Thedford's Black-Draught must
have effected a cure by purifying the

He calls all fouls, balks, strikes, balls
—and in fact everything else and kicks
like a maverick when the umpire does
not agree with him. He encourages
mutiny among his players and has no
hesitancy in bawling them out so loud
ly that the bleachers and grandstand
can easily hear his remarks. A fight

but a grumbling or babbling one helps
to lose them.
Well, Mr. Inquirer, you are so quick

For the past five years, Thedford’s
Black-Draught lias been my family

honest and reliable.”
Do not allow indigestion to make a
martyr of you. Your stomach is one
of the most, important organs of your
body. When it is working properly,
you will feel fresh, bright, happy and
healthy. When it is clogged up with
undigested food, you feel sluggish,
worn-out. weak and miserable.
For over 70 years, Thedford's Black-
Draught has been regulating irregu
larities of the liver, stomach and bow
els. Don't you feel the need of it?
Try it. Costs only one cent a dose.

LITTLE AUGUSTA BAILEY
BURIED AT SLLENTON
Ellenton, S. C.—Little Wallace Au
gusta Bailey, the five-year-old daugh
ter and only child of Mr. and Mrs. E.
M. Bailey, died at the home of her
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard
Miller, Monday afternoon, the 11th. at
5 o'clock, after an illness of several
weeks with typhoid fever. This sweet,
lovable and interesting little girl was
the idol of her parents and loved ones.
Her short life was not spent in vain,
for she endeared herself to loved ones
by bonds of affection that time can
never break and her life, so beautiful
and modest, will count much in re
plenishing the kingdom of God. She
was sent as heaven’s sunshine to
sweeten and bless the lives of all
around her and then called to join
her little sister, who preceded her to
the throne just six short months ago,
and to be at heaven’s portals to wel
come those left behind.
May God comfort the sorrowing
loved ones.
Her little body was laid to rest at
Daisy May church. Rev. W. H. Holley
conducted the funeral services.

CAROLINE WATKINS.
One of the favorite little cherubs
in this contest is Miss Caroline Wat
kins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wat
kins of 418 3rd street. Miss Caroline's
friends are many and are unanimous
in declaring that it is impossible for
their little favorite to lose if concen
trated efforts on their part will make
her a winner. If any of the friends
of the other “dimpled darlings” think
they are going to leave Miss Caroline
behind in the race for fame and for
tune they are sadly mistaken.
JOHN CAVES.

V .
And here’ is a lit tin man who dis
plays danger signals to the other dear
little entrants in the Shower of Gold
contest. lie is Master John Laves,
of 410 Centre street, and already a
vigorous campaign has been launched
for this splendid little man. Master
John is a splendid little chap, of whom
his parents and many friends feel
proud, carrying sunshine and a wealth
of good nature with him wherever he
goes. Master John was one of the
first babies nominated in this great
race for fame and fortune and if it is
only true that “the early bird catches
the worm,” sterling achievements may
be expected of him between now and
June 29.

Not Enough
The enlightened public today
demands more. It demands abso
lute protection.
Every brewer tries to make
pure beer and hopes
it will be pure when
you drink it, but—
They send it out in a
light bottle, and it’s
the light that starts
decay and develops
the skunky taste.
Schlitz goes to you
in a Brown Bottle
which protects the
beer from light and
keeps it pure and
wholesome from the
brewery to your
glass.
See that Crown is branded "Schlitz. ”
