The cause for which the concert is
given is a beautiful one, the program
is also beautiful, so there will doubt
less be a large attendance.
MISS GERTRUDE SIBERT
ENTERTAINS.
Miss Gertrude S?lbert, the young
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Sibert,
was hostess at a merry party Friday
afternoon, entertaining quite a num
ber a bix party at the Modjeska af
terwards being entertained at How
ard's, followed by a ride around the
belt, the occasion of her fourteenth'
birthday. Mrs. W. A. Turner and
Mrs. J. W. Sibert were chaperones.

Augusta triends of Mr. Albert
Crane will be interested 1* his Ap
proaching marriage to Miss Ruray
Overton, of Plainfield, N. J., which
will take place Tuesday In Plainfield.
Mr. Crane has made many friends
here during his stay here, where lie
is superintendent of the Whitney
Construction Company since the be
ginning of the Empire Building, and
many arc the congratulations that
will be extended to him on this
auspicious occasion. Miss Overton
is also very delightfully known here,
where she with her mother spent
several weeks last winter with Mrs.
Hamilton Wilkins.
On their return to Augusta hr.
Crane nnd his bride will have a cot
tage on Hickman Road, the Hill.
MARRIAGE OF MISS PRYOR
AND MR. BTEWART HARRIS.
An especially interesting event of
last week was the marriage of Miss
Alice Pryor and Mr. Stewart Brooks
Harris, which took place at 9 o’clock
the church parlor of the First Chris
tian Church, Rev. Howard T. Cree of
ficiating. assisted by Rev. G. Sher
wood Whitney, and the ceremony be
ing witnessed by a number of close
friends.
The bride was very lovely in a
traveling suit of blue moire worn
with a blue chiffon blouse und a small
and very becoming blue hat trimmed
in pink roses, and carrying an arm
ful of white carnations. There were
no attendants except little Sarah
Bell, who made a lovely little flower
girl In a dulnty gown of white lace
with white ribbons.
Immediately after the ceremony
Mr and Mrs Harris left for Savan
nah, where they will spend some
time and on their return to Augusta
they will make their homo with Mr.
and Mrs. Harry Bell on the Hill.
Mis. Marris Is a niece of Mr, and
Mrs Robert F.asterling and Is a most
attractive arid very lovable young
woman. She has been connected with
the kindergarten department of the
Woodlawn school, the principal
and teachers evidencing their affec
tion for her by presenting her with
a chest of flat silver, while Mr
Harris’ fraternity, the Sltfma Nue,
gave them a beautiful silver tea ser
vice.
Mr. and Mrs Harris enjoy a very
flattering popularity with all who
know them. Mr. Harris Is one of
Augusta’s well-known young lawyers.
