R. F. D. No. 2, Johnson City, Tonn.—
“ Home time ago my head became covered
with small sores which they said was eczema.
tThey were red and inflamed
and when I would comb my
head they would break and
run a yellowish matter. My
hair was coming out by hand
fuls until I was getting almost
bald. My hair was so dead
and dry it seemed as if it
would break off.
" I put on and
and several other remedies without getting
any help. I got a cake of Cuticura Soap
and some Cuticura Ointment and used them.
In a short time from when I began using
Cuticura Soap and Ointment the pimple*
dried up and my hair stopped falling out
and Is thick and glossy. I am cured.*'

CRUISERS
Norweigan Vessel Hailed Twice
in Night By Different War
ships Off Nantucket
New York. The strictness of the
patrol established by the British cruis
ers outside New York harbor was
demonstrated by the experience of the
Norwegian tank steamer Conrad
Mohr, which reached here today from
Bergen and Shields.
The steamer's captain Raid he was
hailed last night by a three funnelled
cruiser Apparently the steamer did
not stop or reply as quickly aH the
cruiser desired, for a shot was fired
across her bow within a short Inter
val of time. The steamer left on her
trans-Atlantic trip before war waa
dcil;,red and her officers were aston
ished at the summary action of the
cruiser. They stopped Immediately
hut were permitted to proceed after
establishing the steamer's identity.
At 1 o'clock this morning, three
hours later, another cruiser exactly
like the first encountered, bore down
close alongside the steamer, fired a
shot and asked for the steamer's name
and nationality. When these were
given the steamer was told to go
ahead. The Conrad Mohr was west
of Nantucket when she was hailed by
the first cruiser and off Montauk
when the second stopped her.

Why Take the Risk
of your beer becoming impure?
You are not asked to take a similar
risk with other kinds of food.
And yet, every time you buy beer in
a light bottle you must assume the
burden of keeping it away from light
to avoid that skunky taste.
Get Schlitz Brown Bottle, and you get
beer that is kept pure from the brew
