You Should Know WISE Better
THIS MAY
CONCERN YOU
Ju*t at this time we are
making the very important
change to any mercantile busi
ness—closing up one season
and opening another and at
this time we desire to call your
attention to the fact that it is
our earnest desire and endeav
or to please every patron of
this atoro—-to carry out our oft
repeated guarantee, “Your
money’s worth or your money
back.”
If any one has purchased
merchandise here that has not
proven to be worth what we
charged for it, we want the op
portunity to make it right. No
dealer examines their goods
any more closely than we do
and none are more particular
about the kind of goods they
sell, yet we are but human,
hence we make mistakes in our
judgment sometimes, and for
this reason we ask that you in
form us if anything reaches
you from this store that is not
O. K. in every respect. Drop
in any time and tell us about
it and we will see that you
are reimbursed for any short
coming in merchandise gotten
from this store. We make sat
isfaction sure by guaranteeing
it and we carry that guarantee
out to the letter.
We want your business for
1914-1915, and we want your
friend’s business, and your
friend’s friend’s business.
We consider the advertising
our customers give the best ad
vertising we do, therefore we
make it a point to see that ev
ery customer gets full value
for every dollar they spend
here.
Our Policy
Speaking of advertisements—

EXPRESS SHIPMENTS NEW FALL GOODS ROLLING IN— Last Friday and Saturday the Express Company brought us bundles after bundles of new goods—we were so busy that it was impossible
to do anything with these at the time, but they have all been unpacked, checked and marked and ready for display Monday morning. You should make it a point to get the first peep at the new things, even
though you are not ready to buy—it will help you to know what is being shown and then you can determine better what you will want when you get ready to buy. You will also know that price at this
store and this will help you in making comparisons with what you will see at other stores in Augusta. FEEL FREE TO COME AND LOOK AS MUCH AS YOU LIKE.

BE WISE—SEE WISE
WE TEAM ¥@oß
TO OUR OLD CUSTOMERS
TO OUR NEW CUSTOMERS
TO OUR OLD FRIENDS
TO OUR NEW FRIENDS
We certainly appreciate the wonderful business that you have giv
en us during the 18 days closing last night—words don’t come easy
to express our feelings in this matter—it would be so much easier
to have you all before us and tell you man to man—woman to wo
man—But this is impossible of course—so just in plain English we
want to say to everyone of you THANK YOU and assure you that
this is our honest feelings towards everyone of you.
We opened this great selling event against great odds as the country
was all stirred up about the war and in spite of what anyone said this
has had an effect upon business. Another thing we undertook, a
task in trying to dispose of the summer merchandise in this store
when this sale was announced, but it is gratifying indeed that we can
write today that our hopes were more than realized everything
worked out to our entire satisfaction and today stocks are in better
condition than at the beginning of the fall season and as a result of
this thousands of people have benefited.
Now, a word to the future. Will prices go up—honestly we believe
they will, but just when we cannot say, but we have good news for
patrons of this store in the fact that the great bulk of stock forthis
store has been bought, and THERE WILL BE NO RAISE IN
PRICES HERE UNTIL WE ARE FORCED INTO IT. Mr. Wise
is leaving immediately for northern markets—this trip is necessary
on account of immediate shipments needed and upon his return you
may expect to have a n opportunity of seeing some of the newest
things the new season affords and there will be just the same value
here as befor—the same prices will hold good.
Once more we thank you—the “Wizard” in leaving wishes also to
be in on this—When you need things to wear THINK WlSE—we’ll
do the rest if you come.
It’s the Goods Behind the Ad That Gets the Business.
ft’s satisfied cusotmers that eome back and back again that
makes our business good. Everything wrapped up in this store
is sealed with the “WISE QUALITY GUARANTEE” we
hope to get your business and to KEEP IT thru our depend
able policy of HONEST GOODS, FAIR AND PRO GRES
SIYE METHODS.

We Know You
Will Like the
Way This Store
Does business
We hope that this ad will
have your earnest attention—
it’s a heart to heart message
from a store that wants your
business. We try to serve ev
ery customer as we ourselves
would like to be served. We
place ourselves in our custom
er’s place. We buy to satisfy
you—we price to satisfy you—
we plan everyway your entire
satisfaction. You like to buy
goods that you can depend up
on—the kind you know are
right in style—in quality—in
price—so we offer none but
that sort of merchandise.
How well we know that the
bitterness of poor quality long
outlives the sweetness of low
prices—that good quality is
long remembered long after
price is forgotten—so we are
careful not to sell anything
that cannot be depended upon
to be a source of satisfaction
to you as long as you wear it
or use it.
If you like the best mer
chandise fair and honest
prices—you’ll like the mer
chandise that this store sells.
If you like painstaking store
service that works to make
satisfaction sure for you, you’ll
like the way this store serves
you. If you appreciate courte
ous salespeople who know
their business and always
pleasant and ever ready to
serve you, then this is the store
you are looking for.
