THE AUGUSTA HERALD, AUGUSTA, GA.
Circus day had hardly dawned when
people began coming into the city. All
railways and country roads led to the
blue pennanted canvas city. All of
the railroad* brought in excursions on
special trains and long before the pa
rade reached down town .the streets
wore thronged with people. The Ring
ilng Brothers have always kept their
promises and their loudly' heralded
street parade was another proof that
their word Is good. No more glitter
ing and brilliant display has ever been
mude In tills city. The parade, nearly
three miles In length, was one unend
ing array of novelties, light and color.
The Ringllng show gives but two
performances In Augusta, at 2 and 8
o’clock today, the doors in each in
stance opening an hour earlier that
patrons may have an opportunity to
visit the menagerie. The circus pro
gram will open with the spectacle of
"Solomon and the Queen of Sheba," 1
enlisting a cast of 1,250 characters and
featuring a monster ballet. The pan
tomime will be followed by two hours
of arenic novelties and aerial sensa
tions, exhibiting more than 400 ar
tists. The circus goes from here to
Atlanta, where It will exhibit Mon
day.
