It is a serious annoyance to
answer the telephone only to
be told that it is the wrong

are trained to connect the num

Telephone users who call

CHRYSANTHEMUM
SHOW OPENS UP
Washington, D. C.—The annual
chrysanthemum show of the depart
ment of agriculture opened today. On
account of the large number of plants,
1.800, as well as the many new varieties
displayed, the exhibition gave promise
of being one of the best ever held.
In spite of the fact that (he warm
weather and foggy nights that have
prevailed this fall are said to be In
jurious to the life of the hardly chry
santhemums, causing tlie bloom to fade
quickly, some of them are handsomer
limn any shown at previous exhibi
tions. As a result of the warm weath
er many of the plants have reached a
height of ton feet, attracting much at
tention from visitors.

REVERSE SPEER’S
RUFF DECISION
U. S. Court of Appeals Orders
That a Referee Again Take
Up Celebrated Macon Case.
Now Orle»n*—lt was announced to
day that the decision of Federal Judge
Emory Speer of the Southern District
of Georgia, In the suit Involving the
property Interests of Wm. A. Huff, was
reversed by the federal circuit court of
appeals here yesterday. The higher
court ordered that a referee should
again take up the case Insofar as the
children of Huff, Edison Huff and Mrs.
Mattie J. C. Jennings—are concerned.
The case has attracted more or less
attention owing to contempt proceed
ings against the elder Huff which
grew out of the litigation. He was cit
ed tor contempt because he charged
that the case was being unnecessarily
delayed and excessive fees demanded
The case also figured in the recent
congressional investigation of the acts
of Judge Speer.

on their clothes. They show it by the way they are
buying. Just now with our stocks at top notch, we

TEST THE FIT-
Slip into a suit—any price you please—and this
is what the mirror will show: Neck and shoulders
as smooth as though moulded to your figure. That
perfect fit is the result of our exclusive patterns,
plus painstaking hand-tailoring that grips and holds
the beautiful style in our suits. Pit is perfect at
every other point; but the final test is always the
way a suit fits around the neck and over the
shoulders.
Men’s Suits in Many New Styles
Our men’s suits are cut on conservative lines, but they show good style and
they are the perfection of fit. Bring your wife wit hyou—she will appreciate
the fine tailoring in Schneider clothes. This week we display all of the new styles
in a great range of handsome mixtures, beautiful dark checks and neat weaves,
serviceable grays and plain blue cheviots and serges, at $9.75, $12.75 and $14.75.
Young Men, Here’s Your Style Cue!
