Yankee Owner Attending
American League Meet;
Think Ownership Change
New York.—The departure last night j
of Frank Farrell, owner of the Now
York Yankees, for Chicago to attend ,
the meeting there today of the Am- j
ertcan League, was followed by pre
dictions here that a change in the
ownership of the club would be one of
the Important questions up for discus
sion by the league club owners. It
was pointed out in support of the pre
diction that Farrell has no manager
for next season, and that noplayer has i
been drafted or bought for the 1915 j
pennant race. From this course it is
believed that Farrell fears to fight to I
retain his connection with the Ameri
can League and that he does not wish ;
to sign a new manager, or to secure :
new players until lie is certain of his
own status in the league.
