TEACHER ASSOCIATION
TO ENTERTAIN.
The Parent-Teacher Association of
Monte Sano school will give a social
Friday night, November 27th, at 8
o’clock. It will be quite an Interest
ing affair. There will be an address
from one of Augusta's most popular
doctors and an interesting musical
program under Professor Battle. Re
freshments will be served. Every
mother and father are urged to be
present and a good time is assured
for one and all.
GYM GIFT SHOP
A SUCCESSFUL THING.
The “Gift shop” which the ladies’
gymnasium had for two days the past
week, met with the most satisfactory
results and as a result their treasury
fund is In a much better condition than
before their efforts.
The ladies announce that there are
s number of the beautiful carnations
still on sale and they can he secured
by phoning any of the members. It is
of course understood that these car
nations, which are sold for ten cents
ifa piece are numbered and the two
Plucky numbers will draw for the hold-

tily dressed. All who have bought car
nations are requested to hold their
numbers until the others are sold and
then the award of the dolls will he
made.
MISS BELL ENTERTAINED
IN SAVANNAH.
For Miss Winnie Davis Bell of
Waynesboro, who is the (truest of Miss
Falligant, many delightful entertain
ments are being given. Yesterday
afternoon Mrs. Marlon Lucas gave a
card party in her honor. There were
five tables of players and the decora
tions were Killarney roses and large
white, yellow and red chrysanthe
mums.
Last evening Miss Eleanor V. Pu
der entertained with six *ables of five
hundred. Pink roses aud fern were
used in the rooms with charming ef
fect.
Tomorrow afternoon Mrs. L. M.
Williams will entertain for Miss Bell
with an informal card party and to
morrow evening Miss loin Norman
will have three tables of five hundred
in her honor. Her guests will include
Miss Bell, Miss Falligant., Miss Mary
Cabaniss, Miss Agnes Brewer, Miss
Eleanor Puder, Mrs. John Dyer and
Miss Annie Laurie Hills, Mr. Frank
Deitz, Mr. Clements, Mr. Prentiss Os
borne. Mr. Harry Arthur, Mr. Rich
ard Withington and Mr. Joseph. With-

Mrs. John Y. Dyer will entertain

Venable of Durham, N. C„ who has
been delightfully entertained as the
guest of Mrs. Harry Robert, will re
turn to her home Saturday. Mrs.
James Leonidas Dunn of Scotland
Neck, N. C., will rematn with her
mother until after the wedding of Miss
Fannie Robert and Mr. Herbert Haw
thorne on February 3d. Mr. Dunn will
come down in December to Join Mis.
Dunn, and spend the Christmas holi
