Ail event, of very delightful in
terest to Augusta and out-of-town
friends wus the marriage of Miss
Christine Greene and Mr. Irvine
Bergen, of Charleston, which took
place last evening at the home of
the bride on Highland avenue. The
Hill, and which was attended by a
large number of interested friends.
The house was effectively and
most elaborately decorated in cut
flowers, house ferns and palms,
the decorations culminated at the
altar in the front parlor which was
formed of slender palms and many
softly' gleaming candles. Mrs. Itoe
sel, aunt of the bride, rendered the
music and announced the entrance
of the bridal party with the strains
of the old but ever new wedding
march.
First to enter were the two
maids, sisters of the bride, Misses
Marguerite and Mary Greene, who
tslowly descended the vine wreathed
stairway and advanced to the altar.
Miss Marguerite Greene wore a
gown of jade georgette handpainted
in pink roses and carried an arm
ful of American Beauty roses, and
Miss Helen Greene wore pale blue
georgette and carried an armful of

Intestinal Antiseptic.
There is now offered to the public
a liquid preparation having the DOU
BLE action of an intestinal antiseptic
and a complete system cleanser. This
preparation, known as Adlerika, acts
as follows:
It tends to eliminate or destroy
harmful germs and colon bacili in the
intestinal canal, thus guarding against
appendicitis and other diseases hav
ing their start here.
It cleans out BOTH upper And lower
bowel and removes foul matter which
poisoned the system for months. It
brings out all gases, thus immediate
ly reliveing pressure on the heart. It
is astonishing the great amount of
matter Adlerika draws
from the intestinal canal—matter you
never thought was in your system.
Try it right after a natural movement
and notice how much MORE foul

The bride entered with her father
and was directly preceded by her
page, John Clement Roesel, who
wore a smart little suit of white,
and who carried the ring on a silver
tray resting on a white satin
cushion.
The groom was attended by Mr.
Mathisent and Mr. Greene, of
Charleston.
The bride was very lovely in her
wedding gown of lustrous white
satin embroidered in pearls, the
gown made on long straight lines,
low neck and sleeveless. Her veil
was caught to the prettily arranged
hair by a coronet of orange blos
soms and her bouquet was of bride
roses. A pretty bit of sentiment
connected with her veil was that
it was the wedding veil of her
mother.
Immediately following tho cere
mony, which was performed by
Rev. W. A. Reiser, the con
gratulations of their assembled
friends were received and buffet
refreshments were served. Later
the bride changed her wedding
gown for a smart traveling suit and

TO DARKEN HAIR
APPLY SAGE TEA
Look Young ! Bring Back Its
Natural Color, Gloss and
Attractiveness
Common garden sage brewed In
to a heavy tea with sulphur added,
will turn gray, streaked and fad

uriant. Just a few applications
will prove a revelation If your hair
is fading, streaked or gray. Mix
ing the Sage Tea and Sulphur re
cipe at home, though, Is trouble
some. An easier way Is to get a
bottle of Wyeth’s Sage and Sul
phur Compound at any drug store
all ready for use. This Is the old
time recipe improved by the ad
dition of other Ingredients.
While wispy, gray, faded hair Is
not sinful, we all desire to retain
our youthful appearance and at
tractiveness. By darkening your
hair with Wyeth’s Sago and Sul
phur Compound, no one can tell,,
because it does It so naturally, so
evenly. You just dampen a sponge
or soft brush with It and draw this
through your hair, taking one
small strand at a. time, by morning
all gray hairs have disappeared,
and, after another application or
two, your hair becomes beautifully
dark, glossy, soft and luxuriant

Illness is usually due to constipation.
Quickly give half a teaspoonful of
Dr. Caldwell’s Syrup Pepsin.
qTHE young mother should
watch which foods the baby rel

cause distress, and act accordingly.
The good health of a baby is largely
a matter of intelligent attention to diet.
Nevertheless, in spite of your efforts you will
sometimes notice lielching, flatulence, wind and
symptoms of colicky pain.
Give half a teaspoonful of Dr. Cald- I
well’s Syrup Pepsin, and thereafter vary the
offending food. Syrup Pespin is a laxative admira
bly suited to infants and children, as it is mild and
wholly free from opiates and narcotics.
If you delay in giving it you will soon
find the baby suffering front constipation, and that
may lead to more serious illness. Half a teaspoonful
promptly given will avoid trouble.
Many thousands of mothers have never
given their babies any other medicine but Dr. Cald
well’s Syrup Pepsin and they have successfully
raised large and sturdy families. The formula is not a
secret, being a combination of Egyptian senna with
pepsin, and agreeable aromatics. The ingredients
are stated on the package. Mrs. Dewey Walker,
Klida, N. M., and Mrs. B. Hig
