After-Eating Distress
If you are a victim of Stomach

Don’t take strong medicines, arti

of anything, but within reason most
folks may eat what they like—if they
will keep their stomach sweet, clean
and active and free from the sourjng
acids that hinder or paralyze the work
of digestion. . ,
. And the best and easiest way to do
this is to follow every meal with a
small amount of pure Bisurated Mag.
nesia—a pleasant, harmless and inex

promptly neutralizes acidity and
keeps your stomach sweet and clean.
A week’s trial of Bisurated Mag

easily convince you of the great talue
h!S s r aM BISURATED Mag
nesin—not a laxative.

Insurance
"Five years ago I was refused
life insurance because of my heart
symptoms. Doctors said it was
caused from a pressure of gas that
came from my stomach, hut their
medicine did not help me and I was
getting worse all the time. Three
years ago my druggist recom
mended Mayr’s Wonderful Remedy.
I took a course of it and believe
it is the best life Insurance anyone
ran buv. It helped my trouble at
once" 'it is a simple, harmless
preparation that removes 'he ca

which causes practically all sto-r

AUGUSTA, GA.
RIVER BOAT IS SOLD
AT COLUMBUS, GA„
FOR SUM OF $2,400
COLUMBUS, Ga. Under an
order by Judge Samuel H. Sibley,
of the U. S. court granted about 15
days ago as advertised, the river
steamer Jno. W. Callahan, Jr., was
sold at auction in front of the
federal building Wednesday morn
ing by Deputy U. S. \Marshal E. P.
Beall, Bentley H. Chappell, local
attorney acted as auctioneer for
Mr. Beall.
There were three bidders for the
steamer, Capt. Geo. S. Lapham
having started the bidding at sl,-
500. The bidders were Fred Wick
ham and J. B. Knight, the boat
going to Mr. Knight, of J. T.
Knight and Sons, for $2,400. He
gave his certified check for that
amount,, made out to Walter
Ackerman, U. S. Marshal for the
northern district of Georgia, to be 1
held pending confirmation and
further order by the court. The
prevailing belief is that the sale
will be confirmed.
As announced before the order
for the sale of the steamer was
granted on petition of C. B. Brown,
mate, Goe. S. Lapham, pil#t; H. C.
Watkins, engineer and Lynn
Kelvey, clerk and other members
of the crew, in admiralty, libel for
wages in the total sum of $1,846.
The petitioners were Represented
by Foley and Chappell as attor
neys.
As is generally known the boat
has been tied up at the city wharf
here for about two months.
Other claims aggregating some
thing like $25,000 are outstanding
against the Tri-State Navigation
Company, who operated the boat
line, however, there are other as
sets. The Callahan was sold clear
of all encumbrances, nothing
being excepted except a piano and
a refrigerator.
Mr. Knight stated following the
sale of the craft to him that he
could not say at the present time
whether he would arrange to re
sume its operation on the river or
yvhat disposition he might make of
it in case the sale is confirmed.
Several members of the Tri-State
Navigation company were present
at the sale.

Firpo’s Star Is
Setting Fast
NEW YORK—The pugilistic star
of Luis Angel Firpo appears to be
setting with the sort of meteoric
rapidity which marked its rise.
On top of his dftlslve defeat In
September at the hand* of Harry
Wills,- the decisive setback given
Firpo Wednesday night at Newark
by Charley Weinert has put the
famous Argentine's fistic stock at
the lowest ebb It has since he made
his sensational debut here in 1922.
Critics gave credit to Weinert
for the skill with which he com
pletely outboxed and outguessed *>t*
giant opponent but were unanimous
in declaring that Firpo was not the
same fighter whose terrific fight
blasted a path through heavyweight
ranks in 1923.
A variety of factors figure tn the
downfall of the erstwhile Argen
tine idol according to observers,
but chief among them are his fail
ure to condition himself properly or
to put himstlf in the hands rs a
competent trainer.
