Remarkable Record of A. C. L. Trains.
The “FLORIDA 42 WEST INDIAN
LIMITED” (trains Nos. 82 & 85) of
the Atlantic Coast Line, have reached
the terminus of either direction on
time 57 out of the 61 days In June
and July.
The "NEW YORK EXPRESS”

better record. Train No. 80 from
Jacksonville arrived at Washington 59
out of the 61 times on the minute.
No. 89 from New York reached Jack
sonvllle on the minute 56 out of the
61 days.
This record la more remarkable
when It Is considered that these trains
cover a distance of over one thou
sand miles, having numerous meet
ing points with connecting trains.
The figures establish for the At
lantic Coast Lino a record for punctu
ality and reliability of schedule and
train service for long distance.
The Atlanlc Coast Line not only
affords the quickest time between the
North and the South, but it has main
tained these fast, schedules with re
markable precision.

FOR STEALING COTTON
David Brooks, a negro, was sent to
jail Saturday morning by Sheriff
Clark charged with simple larceny, j
It seems that he was a cotton han.l i

the city, and with the help of another j
negro he would load the wagon and
hide part of the cotton until he got
a chance to sell It.
