Extensive preparations have
been made for the entertainment
of the Georgia Weekly Press As¬
sociation at Americus Monday.
The program includes an auto¬
mobile drive over fifty miles of
Sumpter county’s good roads con¬
cluding with a visit to the Ware
Orchard Company’s orchard of
100,0000 peach trees.
After a glanc3 over our
exchanges wo find one editor try¬
ing to crucify anothei on a cross
of ignorance and to prick the
skin with his mighty sword, the
pen. It is indeed edifying to
peruse these milk and water dis
sertaiions. Long live and pros¬
per, these pen artists and their
little “hatchet.'’
Mr. Andre R. Wallach who
has been connected with the News
for the past two years left last
Saturday fot Beaufort, S. C.
where he has accepted a position
with the Beaufort Entorpsise, a
new publication. The News ex¬
tends its best wishes to this ener¬
getic and deserving young man
and hopes that success will crown

ing point being one mile North
of the Courthouse, running from
said mile post a mile north of
East and parallel with the A. C.
L. Railroad and the rcute as
shown by plat attached to the
lands of Ben Mi’ikin, W. J.
Broadhurst, W. M. Robeison,
Julia Foster, Ira M. Ray bon,
and terminating at or near the tur¬
pentine still as now located at
Doctortown, Ga; Said road being
in length about three or3-onehalf
miles which has been marked
by commissioners and a report
thereof made on oath by them,
