It, has long been a mystery why Trenton should not tak her sec ond grow th and loom up as one of tho most prosperous little towns in North Georgia, unless it was from a want of “git up and git” in her citizens. Trenton is the capitol of the independent gtale of Dade, and as such should have v record as fair as the county of which she metropolis. Being surrounded by a. country rich for farming pur pose?, and pith her hills teeming over with ores, and her mountain full of the rich est quality of coal Trenton should be far above her present condition with such ad - ant ages offered for her growth and with such means to ?u?'«. in her ex istence. With a bracing, healthy North Georg & chmate, with the purest of waters’ and an easy ac cess to the principle points m the eountry by rail road, and a school second to none of the same jrrade iu any county Trenton should put on habitiments of progress, and let her citizens show that they can toke advontage of the mean* at hand to develop her into agrowing live town. The tacit is in her citi izens , and our present condition is our own fault, and should so im press us as to stimulate *an action worthy a people wha feel at heart the interest of their town and con ty, Let us do something, and we warrant that every earnest, faithful effort will bo crowned with a suc cess such as the aet deserves.
