TALLAPOOSA, 1
Evrror §Baxyer : - The it(-msl
froni our town may not be intcr-‘
esting this week.
The health of the peopleis gen
erally very good, . . :
The school is still flourishing
and new students are enrolled ev
ory day.
Our town has been real lively
for few dave. Justice “court has
been in session nearly every. day
this week ; hut T ean’t say to what
exten!, the parties concerned, got
justice ; but T suppose the people
are satisfied, forlthey all have] dis
persed.,
Yesterday a very poor circus
nassed Tallapoosa, and stopned
long enough to take awav soveral
lolars from the people, and some
of the hoys bit a"little. They fried
to get a 20 dollar gold picce for a
nrize package, but they came out
minns a few dollars. But as the
ld saying is, we have to live and
learn. EvervthingTwent off quiet
ly, and our town is now going a
head, not knowing "'what will be
the next thing on"docket.
Several of our peovle have com
menced gardening, but it is rather
‘old for the business to-day. We
nope thig cold snap will soon pass
uwvay ; and then we shall ¢o ahead
with improvements,
Tallapoosa is siill growing—peo
ole moving in“ever few dinys—and
houses are it demand. Wé hope
to sce the day when Tallapoosa
will e noted for its churches and
S. schools: and when it can bg
said of us where sin abouncded.
srace does much more abound.
May the Baxyer live long and
wave all over this country,
