The above is a picture of Haralson county’s new Court House, Week after
next this picture will appear again with full deesription of the house by
Bruce A Morgan, architects. It is our purpose, and already a great many have
consented, to give all a short “write up” who are willing to pay tho small sum
of Seventy five Cents—axira papers two and a half cents each. Our object is to
advertise Buchanan and Haralson county, which every citizen in the county
should lie interested in. Business men should take advantage of this opportuni¬
ty, for there will hardly be a reader in the couuty who will not have a copy of
tlic issue mentioned, and hundreds of copies will be circulated in adjoining
counties and elsewhere. Remember that it is week after next, and don’t fail to
be represented.

What is the reason it doesen’t pay to
advertise? Mr. H. C. Alston, who lives
near Bremen, saw in the Banner-Mes¬
senger where Loveless & Son had fish
to sell on Saturday evening, and sent a is
little boy up hereafter some m them. If
you want to sell goods advertise them.

E. IV. Y. Allgood, of Embry, Ga., stating
that he does not receive his paper as he
should—that during the months of Sep
tern her, October and November he only
got three papers, receiving them all
one mail. His receiving the three papers
atone mail is evidence that the fault does
not lie in us. We send out one paper to
each subscriber every week and they

A REUNION.
The old Buchanan Baptist church has
been disoiganized for some time. A part
of the members of said church met sec
and (Sunday in April and reunited by a
grand hand shaking, in which they ac
knowledged wrongs and asked forgive
ness and granted the same and buried all
unpleasant feelings^ which is hoped to be
raised no more. How pleasant it is for
brethren to dwell together in unity. They
met again Saturday before the second
Sunday in May and called a pastor, to
wit: Elder W. P. Whitlow. There will
be regulai services 2nd Sunday and Sat¬
urday before in each month. Everybody
invited to attend.
The Boy Preacher.
Well it was a sight to sec the largo con¬
gregation that met in the M. E. church
last Thursday night to see and to hear tho
boy preach. We all gazed on him like
lie was a young Christ, and he did well
for a boy. ilo told ns the truth about
Jesus. Wc ought to do as lie tolls us.
We ought to put our trust in Jesus. Oh,
how many of us went out just for the cu¬
riosity of hearing a boy preach and not
for the cause of Christ? llow pleasant
it is to see the children of men assemble
their selves together in the house of God.
But how much more pleasant it would be
if we would meet and do tlie will of our
Father iu Heaven. How great would the
blessings of God be to us, but wo ail fall
short of the blessings of God because we
fail to do our duty, or at least I myself
do for one, but I hope the time may
soon come when the people may all in one
band march right along together on the
king's highway.
I wish I could sing the song about “we
are 01 V the king’s highway, leading up to
uu ,]; css day,” and have faith to believe
we vvel . 0< j think I would be wou
derfully happy. So, dear readers, lot 11 s
begin to pray and make preparations to
meet that dear boy in heaven. If we all
have the love of God in our hearts we will
rocognize each other w hen we meet in the
streets of Buchanan, or in the store, shop
or any where else. May God bless the
people in Buchanan.
We want to hoar, from some other one
on this subject. Let; us make our little
Banner-Messenger interesting. It is
already a good paper, but we can make it
better if we will try.
A New Comer.
