We call your special attention to the card of Dr. W. F. Robertson, lie is ma¬ king a specialty of some treatments that you would do well to consult him on. Don’t fail to read his card in this paper Mr. J. O. Davenport had an encoun¬ ter with a steam engine the other day. His arm was caught in the wheel while the engine had forty pounds of steam and moving lively. The engine was stopped but Mr. D’s. arm came out pretty badly bruised. By renewing now you can get the Banxer-Messeni ra U^n now until January, 1S93, for only one dollar. This offer will not be a standing offer. Come in before it is called in. For collars, go to R. E., Loveless. We chanced to be standing by last Saturday evening when about a twelve year old colored lul called for a number'iliirty two collar. He was readily waited upon by Air. R. E. Loveless,' who said he had the collar for him. We judge he has all numbers. Walter May fell from a persimmon last Saturday and was unconscious for some bit from having come in confab t with the ground too suddenly. Walti r is all right now, though. A boy is like a ’possum. They will climb after ’simmons and when they fall they “sull,” which, as all who are acquainted with tho habits of a’possum know, doesn’t mean that they are deadfall. You may beat and cUf 1 ’. them about but when you want to kiK them you have got to cut their heads off or break their necks. That’s a ’possum and a boy. Purifies the blood, increases the circa lation, expels poisortSs humors and builds up the system. pWliat more do you want a mediciup to perform?. De Witt’s Sarsaparilla is reliable. He preached an interest ing sermon Sunday, and we are soriy to know that it was the last for Buchanan, at least for a while. Mr. Whitlow does not claim to be a deep scholar, yet he is a man of talent and good hard sense, if you will allpUithe expression. As he in¬ voiced God’s blessings • upon Buchanan and lierpeople in his last prayer, so may they rest upon Bro. Whitlow throughout his arduous work ii*tlie cause of the ter, is the prayer of the good people of Buchanan. A beautiful skin, bright eyes, breath, good appetite, vigorous body, pure blood and good health rekult tho use of DeWitt’s Sarsaparilla. It is sold Neill A Almon. LAST CA I.I.. He also lost a mule about the same time. We arc requesting our friends to settle because the other fellows are urging us to settle. That’s tlie “truph” of the whole matter. Mr. S. F. Crews, the “Napoleon of Tal¬ lapoosa,” was in town yesterday. Sandy can tell you more about tlie mineral of this county than any other man. For a load of wood, proper, call on Mr. Frank Aldridge. Our better half says she would hate to be a mule .and belong to him. Not if she bad to buy the wood, we guess. Mr. T. P. Moore pays for the Banner Messenger to be sent bis friend, Thos. J. Dodd, of Vickory’s Creek, Ga. Don’t you want to send a friend the Bannkr Messegger? Mr. J. W. Robinson, who always pays for his paper in advance, says be enjoys reading our notices to the boys in arreas. It tickles him because be knows they are intended for tlie other fellow. Garner’s plantation near Lyle’s mill, left some specimens of ore in our office which he would like for Mr. S. F. Crews to call-fin and see. He left one. rock which is used extensively in the adulteration of flour. If you want to see it, call in. We hope you will not forget this: legal advertisements from this on must he paid in advance. We set out to do a cash business, but some of our fiiends(?) “got liy us” and on last Tuesday when we were compelled to get up some money, .nd on presenting some accounts, we told that “the other follow was re sponsi ble.” We will know who is sponsible from this on.
