Prof. J. A. Roberson closed out an in¬
teresting singing school at Pleasant Hill
last Sunday by having an all day public
basket dinner singing. Wo were request¬
ed to make notice of this singing last
week, but failed.

Rev. W. P. Whitlow, of Rockmart,
preached here Saturday night and
day, which completed his services with
the Baptist church at this place for the
present y r ear. He preached an interest
ing sermon Sunday, and we are soriy to
know that it was the last for Buchanan,
at least for a while. Mr. Whitlow does
not claim to be a deep scholar, yet he is
a man of talent and good hard sense, if
you will allpUithe expression. As he in¬

was held in and for the 1475th district, G. M., said
county, on the question of for fence or stock law
on the 10th day of October, 1891, which resulted
in a majority of 12 votes for stock law, and tho
