Columbus. Ga., April 20.
Judge Spencer R. Atkins, n
spoke here at Springer opera
house tonight to a fair sized au
dience. He spent the day in the
city, and was cordially received
by the citizens.
He was introduced by S. B.
Hatcher. Judge Atkinson did
not favor cutting the school or
pension funds, but proposed
economy of another character,
suggesting biennial sessions of
the legislature. He reiterated
the charges against Col. Can
dler regarding the use of money
in elections and as to his posi
tion regarding national banks.
Kegarding the charge that
Berner was Ins running mate,
he said that be (Atkinson) did
not want him and he was sure
Col. Candler didn’t. Candler
had troubles of his own.
A TRAVELING MAN.
Gives Some Valuable Hints Re
garding The Care of The
Health While Traveling
Mr. R. W. Wiiicherdum. a com
mercial‘travellHr from Binning
ham, whose business keeps him
almost constan ly on the road,
relates in the Sundry News the
dangers to health resulting from
constant change of residence and
the way he overcame the usual in
jurious effects.
He says: One thing peop'e
traveling cannot very well avoid
is the constant change in water
and food, the stomach never has
an opportunity to become accus
tomed to anything and in a few
years or much sooner the average
traveling man brccmes a hopeless
dysyeptic.
For several years I suffered more
or less from indigestion, sjur
stomachs, di-taste for food, often
uo appetite, gas on the stomach
a.id the usual unpleasant effects
of imperfect digestion.
Nearly every traveling man has
a favorite remedy for different
troubles and I tried a'l of them
with indifferent results. Finally
on the train between Pittsburg
snd Phi'adelphia one day, I ovei
heard a conversation between two
Indies, one of whom had suffered
severely from indigestion and
stated she bad been completely
cured by a remedy which she call
ed Stuart's Dyspep'ic Tablets, J
remembered the conversation be ’
cause it direct’y interested n#e,
and at the next town I inquired J
nt the Hist drug store aijd bought
a | ackage for fifty cots, at d from
that day to this I have never been
without them. Tiny are pleasant
tasting tablets, not a secret paten
medicine but composed of vege
table essences pure pensin, fruit
salts and Goldt n Seal, being in
tablet form they mtfer lose th ir
go»d quali ins like a liquid med
icine would, but are always fresh
and ready for use.
I carry a b x in my pocket cm -
tinun'ly, and whemvtr 1 see any
symptoms of indigestion 1 take
one, u'soone after each meal, and
tor a year and a half 1 have not
lost a day by reason of poor health
and can eat anything and relish
whai 1 eat. my diges ion is abso
lutely perfect as far as I can judge
from my feelings end although
there may be other stomach med- j
icines just tie good as Stuart's Dys- j
pepsin Tablets, I do not know
what they are. Certainly for
people who travel they are far
ahead of any liquid medicine, as
they are so con ven lent, they can
be carried in the pocket and us-d
whenever needed.
I believe they are sold by all
druggists at 50 cents, and believe
anyone who will try ‘them will
agree with me, that for indigestion
and stomach trouble Stuart’s
Dyspepsia Tablets are unrqtialed.

THE ALASKA GOLD PLACER MACHINE MININGCOMPANY"
i Capital stock .f 0,000,00O —full paid—andnon-asseeeable.Proniises to be
| as good as the Beel 1 eleph ne, Westinghouse Air Brake, Grapho
phone or I’h nograph and other similar industrial enterprises which
ire paying thousands in profits to their shareholders.
This is an industrial rather than a Mining Company. We have
he only Hydraulic Machine Mining System (patented)that will work
in the frozen ground of the Klondike and the Northwest, where we
take our machines and extract the gold from the claims of otl ers,
just as thrashing m chines are taken into the wheat country to
hresh out the farmer s wlvat. One of our machines does the work
of over 1,000 men each day and we save the 40% of gold that is
ly lost by other methods, so it can readily be seer, what enormous
profits we will earn in lhe fabulously rich gold mines of the Klondike
and the Northwest, with which every one must be acquainted.
Every prospector th re is cur prospector, for he must eventually
come to us to have his claim worked. Therefore we believe we
shall in time be pay in as large dividends as the world-famous en
terprises mentioned above. Ours is a similar industrial stock which
i z r a limit ).l tune at th) very low price of $2.50
