White Votes Polled in Floydj
Primaries.
J B. HILL GETS 3252.
Alien D. Candler Has 2542
More Than The Combine
The heaviest vote ever polled
in a white primary was polled
in Floyd county yesterday.
It was so late before the con
solidations were finished that it
has been impossible for The
Hustler-Commercial to furnish
the figures in tabulated form.
It will be seen by the consoli
dated votes that upward of 3,800
votes were polled, and that the
new ticket nominated their men
by big majorities.
For treasurer; Mr. J. B. Hill
had no opposition and received
3.252 votes.
For coroner; Mr. F. II Schlap
bach had no opposition and re
ceived 3,050 votes.

Mobile, .Ma, June 7.—Z. M.
P. Inge, trustee of the old city

resident of Greensboro, Ala.,has
associated with himself John L

fund to pay a mortgage upon
the home of the mother of th

Greensboro. Mr. Inge says:
“Through honorable misfor
tune, Mrs. Hobson was forced
first to sell a part of her home

mortgage the rest, and has no I
been able to redeem it, despiti
the fact that her son faithfully
sent his mother a'l his pay
i above the cost of actual mainten

since while in the service, 1 no
tice in The Alabama Beacon,
published in Greensboro, that
this mortgage is advertised for
foreclosure sale, which will take
place at so early a date as tin

I brave boy’s mother’s home is to
be taken from her no doubt be-
