Postponed Until Monday Night
Dance Occurs Tonight.
On account of the illness of
Mr. Russell, the gifted Chatta
noogan who plays a star role,
the theatrical attraction booked
for the Mobley Park pavillion

This will be quite a disappoint

same trips and the dance will
occur juet as scheduled, and all
who go out are certail of an en

The pavillion has been beau

the cool country air, to and from
the park, will prove a splendid
tonic. Try it. *
SCROFULA
. .
It is Foul Blood’s Advertise
ment
But It is Scon Cured by Hood’s
Sarsaparilla.
Yee, Scrofula, if anything, may be called
the advertisement of foul blood. It is the
scourge of the wori ' —offensive, painful,
debilitating, stubL. n and well nigh
unendurable.
Outward applications do not cure, they
only drive the difficulty to new quarters.
Emollients may palliate, they cannot
abolish the evil. There is but one sure
way out, and that is to eliminate the
taint from the blood.
is one remedy that can effect this,
and it is the only one that, so far as we
know, has almost invariably succeeded
even where the system has been poisoned
by long years of taint, and the ravages to
be repaired arc tremendous That remedy
is Hood’s Sarsaparilla. Read this:
“My daughter was afflicted with im
pure blood. There were running gores
all over her body and they caused her
much suffering. We tried medicines tHat
were recommended as blood purifiers,
but could not see that they did any good.
A friend told mo about Hood’s Sarsapa
rilla and 1 began giving the girl this met'
icine. The result was that she was pu
fectly cured after taking a few bottles
She has had no symptoms of scrofuh
sores since that time.’’ Marietta 5.

S.OOOSPANIARDS DESERTED
Key West, Fla., June 17. —
Information of a stirring nature
has been received by the Cuban
Junta here from Übieta, Secre
tary of the Cuban Civil Govern
ment.
Puerto Principe is doomed.
Blanco’s conscripts,s,ooo strong,
deserted and went over to the
Cuban Army. The Spanish gar
rison atNuevitas abandoned the
city after burning nearly all the
buildings, and retreated to Puer
to Principe. The Cubans tore
up the railroad tracks.
Übieta says more than 10,000
Cuban volunteers in Havana
will turn on the Spaniards at
the right moment. A small de
tachment, Übieta says, can force
Puerto Principe to surrender, as
the Cubans are besieging the
place.
