Rheumatism
Is a blood disease and only a blood reme
dy can cure it. So many people make
the mistake of taking remedies which
at best are only tonics and cannot possi
bly reach their trouble. Mr. Asa Smith,
Greencastle, Indiana, says: “For years
1 have suffered with Sciatic Rheuma
tism, which the best physicians were un
able to relieve. I took many patent
medicines but they did not seem to
reach my trouble. I gradually grew

was cured completely and am as well as

Thft Floyd County Camp of

Several hundred veterans were

After the meeting had been call

by their respective roads.
Messrs. J. T. Moore, G. K.

appointed a committee .to select
which road they should take and

that the last legislature enacted a
law requiring the ordinary to ap

each company upon the recommen

Signlcficant Occurrence in con
ion With Interference-
New York, June 25.—A Hong
Kong special cable says :
The British warship Pigmy
cleared for Manila this morning.
.The Powerful, it is reported, has
been ordered from Yokohama
and the Centurion from Wei-
Hai-Whei. It is openly talked
that the Germans will try to
prevent the bombardment of
Manila.
An event that is significant at
the present crisis occurred when
Prince Henry called on Admiral
Dewey to say good bye when the
American fleet left Chinese wa
ters for Manila. Consul Wildman
and Capt. Gridley were on the
quarterdeck of the Olympia in
conversation with Dewey, and
the Prince said laughingly to
the three, but looking Dewey in
the eye ;
“I will send my ships to Ma
nila to see that you behave.”
Dewey, with perfect grace,
replied:
“I shall be delighted; but per
mit me to caution your highness
to keep your ships from between
my guns and the enemy.”
“The Prince saw the point.
The atmosphere is heavily
charged here. Admiral Dewey
will not wait 60 minutes after
the arrival of troops to demand
the surrender of the city. Aguin
aldo’s forces encircle the city.

Seasonable Millinery.
Messrs. Lanham A' Sons, the
merchant princes us Fifth ave

millinery on the market at regu

do a 1 finally rather than carry
over old goods to a new season.
The stock they have begun to
slaughter is right down to date,
and is made of hats and bonnets
fashioned after the very latest
fads and styles.
“We don’t propose t>o carry

merely to state that fact to the
