The Anniston Hot Blast say?:
‘ Miss Bessie Janas, who went to
Dunean Indian Territory, some
two menths since to claim her
share of the Choctaw Indian laada

has returned to Anniston and will
spend the winter here with her
many Anniston friends.
Mies Jones is known by het
frienda as “the Indian princess.”
Many many years ago when the
Choctaws were the principal peo

of Tuscenola, the daughter of a
Choctaw chief, was won by Sam
Jones, a noble pale face, of whom
the Indians thought a great deal,
and they were married with all of
the tribal pomp and ceremony.
Miss Jones is a granddaughter of
this couple and a ceusin of Sam
Jones, the present chief of the
tribe,

formerly lived here and has still
many friends in Anniston.
i Mies Jones will get 640 acres of
land besides a share of the sll,-

treasury at Washington, which
"will amount te some $5,000 or
