J. W. Lancaster, Rome’s vet
eran photographer, has sold out
his gallery in this city and he
and his brother-in-law and chief
assistant, Mr. John Racket,will
go to* their photograph gallery
in Birmingham.
Mr. Lancaster sold his busi
ness in this city to Mr. D. C.
Reddington. Mr. and Mrs Red
dington arrived from Birming-f
ham today and will take hold of J
their new Rome gallery at once.
Mr. Reddington is a veteran
in the art of photo making and
comes to Rome highly endorsed
and recommended.
Rome bids him welcome, at
the same time cue and all will
deeply regret the loss from the
city of Messrs. Lancaster and
Racket.
Mr. Lancaster is now in Bir
mingham. He will be joined by
Mr. Racket in about two w 3k?.
Their families will be moved to
Birmingham soon after the holi
days.

Alexander, a colored woman,
aged 127 years, and the oldest

was born near Richmond, Va.,
