aye by far the best stock of silks, satins and woolen cress fabrics within this city—meeting
all of the requirements of the latest styles.

you and your pocket book. We shall continue retailing dry goods in Rome until the stock is
roduced below $20,000, and we expect not to buy over $3,000 more to keep the stock up before
bringing it to a finish.

! Blanco is unable to control the
1 situation. He is paying out to tht
troops the money sent by Sagasta
but the moneywill only last a day
or so. The soldiers keep up their
threatening attitude while await
ing payment. When they are
convinced there is not money
enough, an outburst will come.
The soldiers openly accuse Blan
co, Arolas and other high officers
of stealing the funds. Discontent
is growing among the subordinate
officers, from Captains down, Your
correspondent interviewed yester
day a Lieutenant in the Civil
Guards who.headed the mutiny in
I the Belascoain barracks, In front
of the barracks two cannons are
placed, and a detachment of artil

aims, and are allowed to commu
nicate with the people outside, but
not to go out themselves.
