■K PERSONAL MENTION.
Mr. Albert Tumlin, of Cave
Spring, was in the city this morn
ing.
Mr. J. H. Shahan, of Villanow,
was in the city this morning on
business.
Warters’ Extra Good cigars
are easy smokers and sweetly
fragrant.
Mr. Rosser Thomas, of Adairs
ville, was registered at the Cen
tral last night.
Encourage home enterprise
and industry by smoking War
ters’ Extra good cigars.
Mr. G. M. Sullivan, agent of
the Southern R. R., at Gadsden,
Ala., is the city.
When you are nervous and
“out of sorts’’ one of Waiters’
Extra Good cigars will quiet and
soothe you.
Tomorrow is regular justice
court day at Flatwoods and Floyd
Springs districts, and several
Rome attorneys will attend.
The friends of Mayor Seay
will regret to learn that he was
confined at his home this after
noon with LaGrippe.
I
The many friends of Mrs. J.
A. Sharp will be glad to learn
that she is recovering from a re
cent severe attrck of LaGrippe.
Miss Stella Hale and Mr. Earn
est Ward have returned to their
home in Centre, Ala., after a
pleasant visit to Mrs. J. M. Hale.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Freid, ot
Savannah, are the guests of Mrs.
Freids’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.
Kuttner, on Fourth avenue.
Mr. Thomas Warters is scru

establishes in the excellency of
his Extra Good cigars.
Miss Addie Mitchell will leave

Wheeler.”
The cases against Col. B. F.
Sawyer and his son Mr. Robert

Holmes Smith, have been indefi

We are glad to learn from our
ministers and others that the mid
week prayer services are being
well attended. There is no better
sign than that of a church’s spir

tendance there, inspires and en
courages the pastor.
T. Y. Donaldson, the merchant,
who was brought back from
Frankfort, Ky., by Coker & Co.,
was given a committal trial be
fore Judge Treadaway yesterday

City 7 Electrician C. B. Seay

house. The indicator has all
along struck correctly but has
failed to register for four years,
and it was thought at one time
it would have to be sent to the
factory, but after being worked
at by the City Electrician he
discovered where the machinery
. was at fault and yesterday it
kj-egistered correctly.

possibility of farm work, and for
that reason a good many of our
country friends have been in the
city. We are glad to see them and

saying, that hereafter, they are
