He Spoke at Ringold yesterday to
a house that was packed from top
to bottom. It was the same hall in
which I had heard him, and “Our
John,” open up the democratic cam

it was claimed that the Alliance had
gone a step further and was with the
third party.

In the dark days when the eloquent

On that day the court house was

was with the “absent ones in the

were revereberated fwm mountain to

When Atkinson was doing his
duty, and doing it with all the
telling effect of a brainy, eloquent
statesman his opponent of today
was also doing his duty—but
in a very different avocation. For

the masses are for him and he

MEYERS-SHIPP,
NOW SAILING LIFE'S GLORIOUS MAT

The following from the Chatta

I: is seldom that a wedding oc

the case ffist evening when Mils
Carrie Lou Shipp and Mr M illiam
Antonio Meyer were married at the
First Baptist church at 7:20 in
stead of 7:30 Wheh tie clock
struck for half past the couple
were back at the betel preparing
for theii honeymoon trip to New
Orleans.
To see such a pretty brid J , as
all who know Miss Shipp knew
she would make, it was no wondei
there was present a fashionable
crush. Every seat was taken and
many stood up in the aisles.
The ushers were Messrs. Oiie
Meyer, and Guy Blewett, of Meri
dian, Miss, and Julian Shipp aid
Ben Ragsdale of this city.
Little M isses Jennie Belle Shipp
and Evie Meyer looked sweet and
pretty as the flower girls in empire
guiviiS of canary colored silk. Tbej
carried bouquetts of white vioi'efs.
T hey were followed by the bride
and groom and when all bad gath
ered around the altar Rev. C. G.
Jones performed the ceremony
most impressive ly.
The handsome auditorium of
the church, the styii-n audience,
the brilliant lights, theartis ically
decorated rostrum and the beauti
ful bride mad* a picture that was
enchanting to behold.
The "bride always considered a
beauty, never appeared prettier
than last night. Her wedding
gown was cream colored corded
silk, en tram, w hite violets and
diamonds. Her face was slightly
Hushed and her beauty radient.
The groom was, a’so. looking h s
best, and if ever a man appeared
supremely happy he did.
The happy couple left at 8:05
o'clock for New Orleans. After
February 25 they will be at home
at 403 Walnut St.
