Bad Affairs in Sicily.
London, Sept. 4.—A dispatch
from Rome to the Times says that
affairs in Sicily have again assum
ed a grave aspect. Agrarian crimes
are frequent and the ill-feeling of
the peasantry against the land
owners, which was dormant dur
ing the state of seige, is now find
ing vent in seditious expressions.
The government intends to take
energetic measures to improve the
relations between the landlords
and tenants, and also to improve
the copdition of the sulphur min
ers on the island of “Sicily.
