Schneider, aged 21 years, of Wil
'iainsburgh. wasaccusedof n-sanlt
by his sister, Elizabeth, in Police
Court to-day.
“For many years,” i
der said, “my brother has been an
inveterate cigarette fiend, and
mother and 1 have tried our best
to make him stop it.
A month ago he began to act as
if there was something the matter
with his head. He said foolish
things and craved for cigarettes.
He declared that cigarettes were
following him wherever he went.
Then he became violent and tried
to kill mother with an ax, and
then to kill mo.” The Justice com
mitted Schneider to jail to have
his sanity inquired into.

from the race, announcing that
henceforth he would forever sup
port the democratic nominees.

they were done with the populists.
