Cartersville Meets Rome on the
Diamond This Afternoon.
The Cartersville team reached
the city this morning at 11:30,
and are playing the local team as
go to press.
The Cartersvflle boys have but
three of •thbir own players, the
others being Atlanta and Marietta
men.
It will be fine baseball, and ev
erybody should go out tomorrow.
Graham will pitch.
CITY COURT
Continues to Dispense Justice at
the old Stand.
In the ease of Mondon vs. the
Western Union Telegraph Compa
ny, the verdict was $436 damages
for the plaintiff.
Lula Ccoley was tried for mis
demeanor and sentenced to three
months in the chaingang.
This afternoon the court is busy
with the case of W.Drenuon.Robt.
Hill arid wifi, vs. the Rome Street
Railway. They are suing the street
railway for $5,000 dan ases for in
juries received some time ago. Mr.
Brewster, of the firm Dorsett,
Brewster & Howell, of Atlanta, is
attorney for the railway

his protracted meeting at Moun
tain Springs Camp Grounds Sun
nay morning at 11 o'clock. Dr.
C. S. Harris will preach the open
