Senator on a Tear.
Chicago, November 9.—State
Senator John F, O’Malley broke
loose about 6a. m. today with a
revolver, according to complaints
lodged in Court, and when he got
through his post-election celebra
ted Charles Shepard, a cab driver,
was shot in the knee joint and in
the hand, and Nicholas Varis, a
saloon keeper, was »hot through
the fle-hy part of the arm.
According to the story or Varis,
Senator O’Malley drove up to the
saloon in a carriage with two com
panions. Drinks were purchased
for the party and Varis says he
then asked O’Mally for payment.
The Senator drew a revolver and
fired at the saloon keeper. The
shooting of the cab driver Shepard
oceured shortly afterward.
