A Help to Save
No one is strong enough to do everything.
We all want help of some kind.
Saving is a hardship to some people. Some
of the greatest minds the world has ever
known found it impossible to save a cent.
Some times this is because of poverty, some
times careJe -n <, somet nes forgetfulness.
The Constitution has thought of this. It
has provided □ “ i.ti y reminder;” a monthly
calendar and Dime havings Bank combined.

American, a man who wishes to know
everything, to do everything, to become
everything, to attain honor and wealth.
There is one path to honor and wealth—
knowledge. Knowledge is power. Power Is
potency to do. to become, all that one desires.
You can’t be powerful unless you know. You
must be up to date, abreast of the times.

The Great Original

edition has been brought down to the present
time, his more complete than the ninth
English edition. Thirty thousand dollars
has been expended in adding to it.
You can have the work in any style of
binding by paying 10 cents a day, payable
monthly. We will deliver half the set at
time of first payment, and present you with a
Dime Registering Savings Bank to remind you
to deposit the dime. The remaining fourteen
volumes will be delivered when the first are
paid for.
By paying $5 per month the entire set of 28
volumes will be delivered at once.

IFBRWOMEN FOLKS
FOR WOMEN FOLKS
A great many people dislike Sun
day and gay it is a dull day, long
and hard to live through. Shorten
it as much as you can by sleeping
late and enliven it by some form of
a must ment borrowed from one of
the other days.
It your husband shows a godless,
I masculine fondness for sleeping
over the breakfast hour on Sunday
you can probably break him of it
by senuing the children, one by one,
to him for money for the contribu
tion box.
For shampooing get five cents’
worth of powdered Castile soap,
the same quantity of borax; add
to them a tablespoonful of alcohol,
the beaten yolk of an egg and a
pint of hot water. Put this in a
bottle and cork. There is suffi
cient for three or four shampoos,
us it only takes a small quantity
applied to the scalp to cause a good
lather, which must, however, I e
care fully rinsed out with several
basins of warm water.
Some people hold the theory
that thorough combing is more ben
eficial to the hair than brusing, as
the latter seems to make it come
out more, but, like everything else,
it is a matter of which depends on
the hair as well as *he brusher,
and consequently depends on the
judgement of each individual.
To elean the railing of banisters,
wash off all the dirt with soap and
water, and when dry rub with two
parts of linseed oil aud one of tur
pentine. If the odor of turpentine
is objectionable use two parts of
sweet or cotton seed oil and one
part or alcohol, but the mixture of
Unseed oil and turpentine is pref
erable.
The newest chair cushions are
provided with a frill along the
sides only. The plain side rests
against the seat of the chair, the
other three upon the tops and sides
of the back.
Mothers are nearly always to
blame if the baby’s ears stick out.
Never tie anything behind a child’s
ears, like bonnet strings or hat
elastic. Always lay the baby flat
on its ear when sleeping. In ex
treme cases a skeleton cap should
be w< rn, but a silk handkerchief
drawn over the head, down over
the ears and tied securely under
the chin, answers the same pur
poses.
Dainty bags are often made to
!he tied er pinned to tjje stuff' d
arm of a chair, and are useful for
holding nepspapers or work.
By putting Lice handkerchiefs
in warm water in which are a few
drops of amouia, and using castile
soap, they are easily washed and
made a beautiful clear white. Then
do not iron, but spread the hand
kerchief out smoothly on marble
or glasa. gently pulling out < r
shaping the lace. Just before it is
entirely dry fold evenly and
smoothly and place under a heayy

The newest covers for small
