Yesterday in the third Methodist

incident occurred. It was the end
of Mr T. J. Reece’s second year as
superintendant of the School, and
on this occasion hedeem

Mr. Reese has endeared him
self very much to every one in
the school, and they were very un
willing to give him up. But he was
firm in his resolve, and with many
tears and expressions of regret,
his resignation was accepted
But as a tukeu of their high esteem
n.Wrver, the school oresgeted hi n
with a handsome Oxford Bible
dr. W* S Simmons, wis elected
to the Superinlendencv
Po’iibe Court.
In spite of the influence of a
city full of Methodist ministers,

old J. R. Freeman mansion about
two and a half miles out, on the
Summerville pike. There under
the spreading boughs of those
magnificent old oaks, will be fought
many a battle and there many an
enslaved life will burst its bonds
and by the aid of scientific inven

one, welcome the Keely.
