FIGURES FIGHT BACK.
Theater Girls Commend the Ac
tion of Mrs. Grannis.
New York, December 3. —The
tight against the living pictures
being waged by some df the mem
bers of the Women’s Christian
rance union has developed
into a war between women. It is
not at all unlikely that the “liv
ing pictures” will organize and op
pose the the Woman’s
Christain Teniipsrknce union. A
move was made in this direction
when the girls employed at the
Ga l*n theater met. The result of
it was (hat the following letter
was sent to Mrs. Grannis:
“Dear Madam : As working wo. -
on of the sta.-e. employed as •ri
els in the Kilanyi living pictures,
we thank ynu warmly for your
w unanly and isen-ibe opposi urn
to the fanatical crusade against
anima e art suggested by Lady
Somerset. It is undoubtedly tru ,
a« you remark, that there .is n >
unchaste living picture exhibit ’

Fort Gibs m. I. T., Dec., 3.
The Deputy Marshals who went to
the scene of the raid at ClrecoLih,,
I, T.,_on the nightof November f? 8.
succeeded rn-capturing'one of the
bandits at a late hour 'ast night,
about 150 miles south of Checotah.
The pnsoner was taken to Musco
gee this morning, where he was
identified by one of the men wlie
w»8 compelled to li-.:e up in the
store.
The bandits were not as brutal
in their treatment of, the LaFay
ette brothers as they usually are
in their raids. The La Faye'.t
brothers were well aequaiuted with
French, the leader of the raidorr,
and relied on their acquaintance
ship to exempt them from robbery,
but it seems that the robbers are
no lespdcter of pertoris.
/It an early hour this morning
the Marshals came up with the
remnant ,of the band and ano hor
fight ensued, but with no particu
lar results.
