Washington, Nov, 9.- The Su
preme Court today disposed of the
famous Durrant murder case, ap
pealed from San Francisco, affirm
ing the decision of the Supreme
Court of California that he must
hmg.
There was no opinion delivered,
the case going off on the motion
of the Attorney General of Cali
fornia to d smiss or affirm 'he ap
peal.
The decision m< ans that Durrant
must, hang, and that a number of
other condemned murderers who
bad appealed, as did Durrant, must
also meet the penalty for their
crimes.
Durrant’s crime "as the murder
of Blanche Lamont and Minnie
Williams in the Emanuel Baptist
Church, of San Francisco, in
April, 1895.
