“Farm Relief”
This writer can’t remember
back further than Taft’s and
Bryan’s, Wilson’s and Taft’s,
Wilson's . and Hughes’ and
Roosevelt’s, Cox’s and Hard
ing’s and Cooledge’s and Davis’
and the present Presidential
campaigns, but in all campaigns,
by parties of both parts, about
all one could hear was ‘“‘farm
relief.”” This has been the dis
gusting bunkum since the Eagle
screamed from the English cage
and it will continue to be for
time to come. The farmers will
get their relief when they or
ganize and buy and sell c,o-\
operatively and intelligently
like other big businesess, Inso
far as some political party giving
the farmers relief there is
nothing to it and never will be.i
We want to see Jeff Davis
county vote the straight Demo
eratic ticket but we don’t be
lieve Al Smith will give our
farmers ‘‘relief.”’
Hustling Hazlehurst is spread
ing out so to speak. Grab a
hammer and knock!
We now have the grocery
Stores so it is up tousto work up
a charge account. ‘
i
We invite every white man
and woman who are inclined to
vote the Republican ticket to
read the Democratic article in
this issue. 4
