Ey- A Card.—Mr. ALLEN V7 ROBISON, very
thankful to the citizens of Madison aud vicinity for
their very liberal patronage, begs leave to notify
those who were subscribers to his second term, that
from circumstances beyond his control, he has, by
consulting a majority of his patrons, thought it best
to postpone any further effort for a second quarter

were his patrons to the second term, from all obli

Dancing, having declared his intention to close his !
School in this place, until March next, we gladly j
avail ourselves of the present opportunity to ex
press the esteem wc entertain, both for tho profes
sor and the man.
As a teacher of his art, wo think him unsurpass
ed ; he not only makes his pupils graceful dancers,
I but he also exercises over them such discipline, re
lative to their conduet, as to improro their man
ners and promote all those amenities and courte
sies that so much enhance our social happiness.
As a man, ho is an orderly, moral, and usoful !
citizen; one, who, together with his interesting
family, would be a valuable acquisition to our com
munity. As patrons, our intercourse with Profes
sor R. commonced—we suspend it as friends—en
tertaining the hope, that :o soon as his private af
fairs will permit it, he will not only re open his .
school in our town, but himself aud family become 1
our fellow-citizens.
Whenever ho returns, wo will welcome him ; and
if he returns not, wherever he may go, he will take
with him our best wisbos for his success and happi- 1
ness.
