Young Walton, who was supposed to
have shot himself accidentally at Schofield’s
foundry, in Macon, on Wednesday night,
died on Thursday uight..
The night express train of the Central
Railroad, whicn arrived in Macon on Wed

the passenger coaches and baggage car,
nineteen loaded freight cars.
The Standard reports that plenty of corn
has been planted in Talbot county, and
that wheat never looked better. The
stands of cotton are generally good. Rain
is needed. : '*

On the 4th instant, Mr. John M. Graham,
of Tennessee, led to the altar Miss Anna E.,
daughter of Hon. A. R. Wright, of Floyd

the happy occasion, and an elegant party
was enjoyed by a large assembly of friends.
The Newnan Defender , 4th, says the cit

that place on the 3d, for the purpose of
acting in concert to induce the location of
Mercer University at that place. A large
sum was subscribed for that object.
The Courier says a proposition has been
made by Rev. F. F. Reynolds, which is
considered a very geuerous one, to take

capital of SIO,OOO, for the purpose of man

Newnan Defender, of the 4th, says: This
malady which has for some weeks made
fearful ravages among the colored popula

The fact that its ravages were principally
confined to the colored people, has, we
learn, led some of the superstitious of that
race to fche conclusion that the white peo

gentleman of ripe experience in railroad
matters. We regret that Mr. Peake will
cut the tie which has so long identified him

Koskoo Cures Scrofula in its Worst Forms.
From A. W. Mills, a prominent and well
. known Merchant of Norfolk, Va.:
No. 11 Main street, Norfolk, Va., September 16,1869.
Dr. Lawrence— Dear Sir; Your Koskoo
has worked wonders in my family. My daugh
ter has been a sufferer from Scrofula since
childhood. She lost tbirty-one pieces of hone
from her ankle, several Irom her arm, besides
having ulcers in several parts of tbe body.—
Whilst in this condition she commenced taking
your Koskoo— it acted like a charm on her ; un
der its use the ulcers gradually healed, and her
general health greatly improved, ft certainly
saved her much suffering, and perhaps her life.
I regard Koskoo a specific lor all scrofulous
affections. Your Koskoo also cured my wife
of dyspepsia, from which she suffered greatly.
She is note in better health than she has been in
five years.
With the highest regards,
I am gratefully yours, &c.,
A. W. MILLS.

Dr. J. J, Lawrbnob—Dear Sir: l have used
yoqr Concentrated fluid Extract of Koskoo in
my practice with tbe happiest results. I find it
to be a powerful Liver Invigorator, Blood Pu
rifier, aud Nervous Tonic. In all diseases of
the Liver, Scrolulous, Syphilitic and Nervous
Affections, it is a remedy of immense value ;
in fact, in almost every variety of Chronic
Diseases its use is indicated. Hoping yon
may meet with the success which you deserve
as a manufacturer of reliable medicines, I am
sir, with much respect,
Your obedient servant,

Koskoo Cures Chronic Rheumatism.
Norfolk, Va., September 7 1869.
Dr. J. J. Lawrence— Dear Sir: My son has
received so much benefit from your wonderful
Koskoo that 1 cannot reiraio from expressing
my gratitude. I had tried almost everything
without benefit. I believe, in all sincerity, that
your Koskoo is an infallible remedy for the
disease from which he has suffered, and, so far
as I can learn, has never failed. If you only
knew the immense amount of suffering that he
has undergone, then you could conceive the
value of such a remedy as Koskoo— that surelt
CUKE3. The great amount of good it is now
doing among ns is inestimable.
With much gratitude,
I am, respectfully, yours, <fec.,
Mrs. M. E. A. NELBON.
FROM DR. LLOYD, A PHYSICIAN OF LARGE
PRACTICE.
Great Bridge, Va., October 8,1869.
J. J. Lawrence, M. D.—Dear Sir: I cheer
fully endorse your Koskoo as being a most
valuable preparation. Upon examination of
the formula, I find each ingredient highly ex
tolled by our best and most progressive clini
cal investigators. I have tested its effects in
my own practice, and have no hesitation in
recommending it. In my opinion, it is the best
compound of its class ever pat before tbe pub
lic-exceeding by far all the vfpioqs compounds
of Sarsaparilla, <fcc., ever invented. It is a de
cided Nerve Y°Lic, and Invigorator es the ani
mal forces, aiding digestion and assimilation,
and thereby producing healthy blood, which
should be the basis of treatment in all chronic
diseases. Hoping you will reap the reward
you deserve from the public as a benefactor,
I am, sir, yours truly,
CHARLES LLOYD.
After reading the above high recommenda
tion, Invalids oannot reasonably hesitate to
gflve the KOSKOO a trial.
