Dr. Seth W. Fowle,
Dear Sir—This may certify that I am about
seventy-five years of age, was born and have al- j
Ways resided in this town. In October, 1-15, I :
look cold, and for six months 1 was afflicted with
the influenza, and the worse cough I have ever er
perienced during my whole life. Myself and
friends liad strong doubts of my ever recovering.
I got a holile'of Scbenck’s .Syrup; It <! tie n:c* no
good. I then applied taa physician, who prescrib
ed for me several times, but did not cure me. At
last my physician advised me to take Dr. WIS
TAICS CELEBRATED DALSAM OF WILD
CHERRY, which has performed so many remark
able 1 did so, and 1 believe that saved my
life,my cough left me entirely, when 1 ha■! taken
a single bottle. lam now enjoying good health.—
If 1 ever again have a similar attack, or any »1 my
family, 1 shall immediately resort to Dr. \\ istar s
Balsam of Wild Cherry. The physician who re
commended this Balsam to rne, was induced to do
so from his own personal observation and experi
ence in using it. One very strong case of cure of
u young man occurred in this immediate vicinity,
of w hich Dr. Homan informed me.

MACON, March IG.— Cotton. —The market fur
the past week has been firm, with rather an up

small, that we have to report but few sales. We
quote to-day 9 alOic. Receipts for the week 492
bales.
CHARLESTON, March 19 -Cotton —'The T>
Jand market yesterday was ratlier quiet, and pur
chasers apparently content with picking up occa
sionally such lots as were offered by holders. The
sales reached about 800 bales at extremes from ii
cents a Hi cts. without any perceptible change in
prices.
Rice. —The market continues doll and depressed,
and prices to tend downwards. The .-airs yester
day did not reach qoite 350 hb!s at s3l as 3 15-1 C
—being a dec line of i a 3-IC.
NEW YORK, March 15—10 P. M. j
Th* market for Flour to-day was decidedly firm

Up to this moment there is no arrival with later !
European news. The steamer Hibernia has now 1
been out ten days, and as she is a fast vessel may
soon be expected.
APALACHICOLA, March 13— Cotton. —An
arrival from Columbus on Wednesday brought ns
late advices from New York anil Charleston,
which were of a more favorable character for cot
ton, and on the strength of these advices and the
continued falling off in receipts of cotton, about
one hundred bales changed hands at an advance
of fully a ic on our quotations of Tuesday. Since
Wednesday there has been scarcely anything
done, purchasers being unwilling to pay the ad
vanced rates demanded by holders. We saw one
lot which sold to-day at 9Jc.. grade above
good middling. Stork on band and on shipboard
not cleared, 35397 bales.
Freights. —Since our Tuesday’s report about 1700
bales have been engaged fur Liverpool at id., |
