the following us a correct version, for the use ot
all doubling husbands, of the ‘ Wife's Command
ments.’ His ten :
1 Thou shall have no oilier w ife hut me.

beautiful brazen image of a servant girl, to bow
down to her and serve her; for 1 am a jealous

3. Thou shait nut take the name of thy wife in

I. Remember thy wife to keep her respectably.
5. Honor thy wife’s father and mother.

7. Thou shall not find fault with thy dinner.

b Thou shall not be behind thy neighbor.
10. Thou shall not visit the rum tavern; thou
shall not covet the tavern-keeper’s rum, nor his
brandy, nor his gin, nor his whisky, nor his
v. iue, nor anything that is behind the bar of the
rum-seller.
11. Thou shall not visit Billiard Hall, neither

TO alter and amend the third section of the
second article of the Constitution of lhi»
Stale.
Whereas the Third Section of the Second Arti
cle of the Constitution of this State reads in the
following words, to wit ;—No person shall be el
igible to tire office of Governor who shall not
have been a citizen of the United States twelve
years, and an inhabitant <>f this Stale six years,
ami who has not attained to the age of thirty
years, and who does not possess five hundred
acres of land in his oun right within this State,
and other property to the amount of four thou
sand dollars, and v\ hose estate shall not on a rea
sonable estimation, be competent to the dis
charge of his just debts over and above that sum
—and whereas said property qualification is in
consistent with the genius ofourinstitutions, and
tiie popular spirit of this age—
Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and
House of Representatives of the State of Georgia
in General Assembly met and it is hereby enacted
by the authority of the same. That so soon as this
Act shall have passed, agreeable to the require
ments of the Constitution, the following shall be
adopted in lieu of the Section above recited, (to
wit:; —No person shall be eligible to the office of
Gevernor who shall not have been a citizen of the
United States twelve years and an inhabitant of
this Statesix years, and who hath not attained the
