DYSPEPTICS RE AD THIS !
DR. ALLEN’S VEGETABLE COM
POU ND, tor the cure of Dyspepsia, Liver
Complaint, Nervous Debility, Biilious Affections,
Ac., Ac. 'Phis medicine is ottered to the public
under the assurance that there is no article in ex
: istence having stronger claims to their considera
! tiou. Being compounded by a regular graduate of
Jefferson College, Philadelphia, and a practising
Physician of twenty years standing in Phila
delphia, his long experience has confirmed him in
the opinion, that a compounded medicine was re
quired to prevent and remedy the debili-ta
tios produced by residing in low miasmatic cm
Mates, and to counteract the prostrating influ
ences of the many nervous disorders with which
the human family are affheted.
Dr. 411011 is a well known Physician, and has
I used tiie above medicine in his practice tor
TEWLVE tears with the most astonishing effect,
having tested its qualities in above
FIVE THOUSAND CASES.
No medicine ever received mere fla tering re
commendation from Physicians of eminent stand
ing than has been bestowed on this. Read the
1 following ;
The late Dr. GEORGE McCLELAN, of Phila- |
! delpbia, pronounced it one of the BEST TONIC I
I pieparations he had ever used, and recommended ’
i it strongly in cases ol Dyspe] sia. Nervous Debiii- j
ty, Ac.
The following is an extract of a letter from
DR ROBE Pi I AGNEVV,
an eminent Physician of Lancaster county, Pa.
“Dr. Allen.—Dear rSir : —lt is with great plea
sure that I inform you of the success attending
your Medicine, while employed in my practice, j
jjfirmly believe that in eight cases out of ten the j
Dyspeptic may, by the of your Medicine, rid j
himself oi th.s thorn in the pathway of life. Not
onl in Dyspeptic cases, but in ail casoss of con
stipation and diseases depending on a debi Bated
state ot the nervous system, togesher with a (or
pid state of the Bowels, will your Elixir be ol in
estimable value.”

EPPING’S COMPOUND FLUID EX
TRACT OF SARSAPARILLA AND
QUEEN’S DELIGHT.
rinO THE PUBLIC This pre aaration has
8 acquired a very extended and established ce
lebrity in most of the So"thern States of the Union
—both in the hands of Physicians and private use
—which i s efficacy alone has sustained for several
years, as a remedy for Scrofuia or Kiugs’s Evil,
Uiceiated Sore Throat, long standing Rheumatic
Affection, Diseases of the Skin, old acres, While
Swellings, Diseases of 'he Bones, and all causes of
an ulcerous character. It is also particularly use
ful in chronic and nervous complaints occurring in ■
debilitated and cachetic constitutions. Over Sy
phillis and the host of paiatui, disagreeable and
hitherto incurable affections resulting therefrom,
such as Ulcers of ihe Throat, Larynx, Nodes. Ac.,
and all those evils occasioned b v an improper and
injudicious use oj ‘‘mercury,'’ it displays complete
control. It has been found to be a mostuselul pu
rifier of the blood in all such diseases.
In all complicated cases ot iScrolula and Syphi
lis, and in cases where the Syphilitic virus of the
parent causes a development of Syphilis or Scro
fula in the child, this is the only remedy upon
which the hope of recovery can be reasonably
founded. It relie\es the disease, and at the same
time imparts vigor to the whole system —under the
use of this medicine, the patient is enabled to take
nourishing food, which in other practice is with- I
held, in many cases where the horrible ravages
of disease have taken so deep root that patients
have been given up by be moM skilful physician-,
the disease has been arrested and the patient re
stored to good health, Ac.. and the most reasona
ble expectations tully satisfied.
The cures performed in this city alone, are suffi
cient to establish its reputation on a permanent
basis, and too s lid so be effected either by the
malignant or envi us. It is worthy ol note that
the greater part of ihe patients cured, had previ
ou ly to using this preparation, received the best
medical treatment and given up by their Physi
cians as being beyond the reach ot medical skill.
It is, h iwever. advisable that it should be g.ven.if
practicable, under the ui erintenflence of a Phy
sician, lor him to prc'cribe such other remedies in
conjunction with this, as the necessity ot ihe case
may require. This preparation has put into the hand
of Physicians a remedy, by which they cun master
a variety of diseases, which have hithertoo baffled
the greatest sk ll and study. It is a safe and harm
less medicine, and removes ail those evils which
an unsuccessful use of mercury so often occasions.
Price $1 per Bottle, or $5 for six Bottles. Pre
pared and lor sale hy J. I*. M. EPPING, Chemist
and Druggist, 277 King-street, opposite Society
street, Charleston, Ci. C. For sale in Augusta, by

CHOLERA PREVENTED.
A MEDICI N E lor all complaints ot the Blood,

Invalids Read!—Among the remedies of the day,
what medicine is the best ? This question has been mi

HI NDKED THOUSAND PERSONS! who have been
restored to liealtb and usefulness by the use of
BRISTOL’S SAKS A PAIUJLLA !
It cures because it removes the acrid humors from the
body, and by purifying the blood makes the system in
pervious to disease.
THE CHOLERA

Bristol's Sarsaparilla. Pure blood is a powerful bulwark
against the encroachments of disease, and the peati

“THE BLOOD IS THE LIFE.”
Take the language of Scripture, and the language of
reason From the blood is built up, particle b> particle,
the entire human body. Its bones and muscles and del
icate tissues are all the resu.ts of the gradual depostte of
minute particles, which are taken up by the various or
gans throughout the system. As the wood of the tree
grows, year by >ear, from the deposite of ligneous sub
stances from the sap which circulates through its capil
lary vesse s, so does the organized living human body
grow, and supply its natural waste from tbe materials
supplied by the blood alone; for the blood contains all
materials necessary to the reparation and growth of the
organs.
As it is the only means by which the great function of
nutrition is accomplished, so also is Hus important vital
fluid the source of all the humors of the body. The
saliva, tears, tide, urine, perspiration and all other se
cretions, are taken from the blood. How indispensable
then is it that this FOL'.S TAIN OF LIFE be m a pure
ami healthy state.
Bristol’s Sarsaparil'a is the greatest purifier ofthebiood
known to the Materia Medica.
Invalids, Remember—That Bristol’s is the only pure
extract of Sarsaparil a prepared in this country, one bot
tle of which is worth ten of the kind offered by many
unprincipled quacks throughout the United State*.
The case of James Wyckolf has no equal, it stand*
out alone! Bristol’s Sarsaparilla has achieved, in this
cure, a reputation and a fame that can never bo won by
any other medicine.
A synopsis of the case, and a quotation extracted from
the most influential and respectable press, is all that can
be given in this sheet. The history of the young man
has been printed, and is in the hand -of agents.
11, in tlie days of the Apostles, among the many wh*
sought miraculous relief at their hands, there had been
brought to them the remnant of a human being, deaf,
umb and partially blind, with both legs and one arm
eaten off by ulceration, his ears, Ids nose, and pa ate
too, comp etelv destroyed by the ravages of the terrible
disease, whose work of destruction was surely anc
swiftly going on—would it not have been deemed t,
sinking illustration of miraculous power had the cruel
malady been at once stayed—its horrible ulcerations at
once healed—and the mutilated body of the sufferer re
lieved from racking pain, his appetite restored—his sleep
again rendered sound and refreshing—his flesh, spirit*,
animation once more returned—in short, a complete
restoration to general health effected.
Such would indeed have been deemed a miracle yet
such a wonderful work lias been wrought by Bristol’*
Sarsaparilla!
James Wyckolf, now 22 years of age, and the son of
Peter Wyckolf, a farmer of Clarence, Erie Co., New
York, is the living monument of this most wonderful
cure. When live years old, being attacked by measlo*
he had a preparation of mercury administered to him’
and for eleven years of wasting pain, and frightful mu
tilation, were its permcions effects at work. Awful be
vend description were Hie sufferings of that poor boy
during the interval, as detailed m an interesting history
of his extraordinary cure, published in 184 G, for In* ben
efit, ami which can be had from Bristol’s agents.
Six years have now elapsed since this modern miracle
was performed, and the person yet lives to testify
though mutely, yel most eloquently— to the curative pro
perlies of Bristol’s Sarsaparilla.
CASE OF INFL AMATORY RHEUMATISM.
Hartk.jro, Coatt., Sept. 29, 1849.
This may certify that I have been a subject of Inflam
matory Rheumatism for the last eighteen years and
often confined to my bed for four or six weeks by’ <>ach
attack. I have tried every possible remedy that th*
most ce ebpted of the New York medicinal faculty
could prescribe, besides any quantity of quack uiedi
cines, but did not obtain permanent relief.
Soon after resuming my residence in Hartford, I had
the most severe attack 1 ever had. 1 was confined t*
my room two months, and when I left it was scarce v
able to walk, and not without the most severe pain. My
lameness lasted from last October to the June following.
Having business in New York last February, I w»i
there introduced to a gent email by the name of Thom a*
Hogan, who highly recommended Bristol’s Sarsaparilla
He told me that he had been confined to Lis bed eight
months, with Rheumatism and Scrofula, and his phy
sicians had given him up, as past recovery. Ha used
fifteen bottles of Bristol’s Sarsaparilla, and it was Ui
this medicine alone that he attributed las present exis
tence.
I concluded to defer the trial until I returned to Hart
ford, and again consulted my physician, whose prescn i
twin 1 followed until May, without relief. 1 then bought
Bristol’s Sarsaparilla of you, and continued taking it ac
cording to directions. I then visited New York again,
and was there introduced to Mr. Bristol, whoudvised
mebyal means to persevere. 1 called on twenty dis
ferent individuals of the first respectability, who bad
been cured of a:l the ills that flesh is heir to, who a I at,
tribute their restoration to health entire y to this invalu
able medicine. With all this testimony, I continued till
I had taken sixteen bottles, which has restored me ui
perfect healih. I shal be happy at any tune to give any
one al. the information that I am possessed of, in regard
to this invaluable medicine, and confident y recommend
it to a i who are afflicted with the diseases for which it
le recommended. ,
Respectfully yours, S. L. MOORH.
