THE FRENCH MIXTURE.
FOR the cure of Chronic diseases of the Kid
nies and Bladder, Venereal (Gonorrhoea)
F'iour Albus, and other analogous affections, it
stands paramount to anything to be had. With
perfect safety it can be taken or used by any one,
as it does not nauseate or prove in any wise dele
terious. Being modified and improved from the
original French preparation as it is, has for years
stood the test in every shade and variety of cases
for which it is to be used. And so far from failing
into disuse, the sales on the contrary, have mate
rially increased. If cases were given in detail,
its success would vie with the Vermifuge, Ano
dyne Cough Drops, or any other medicine pre
pared and offered to the public by the proprietor.
Beware of Imposition and the use of Substitutes.

ROUS,
I OR MEDICATED COMPOUND.
ArALLIBLE lor renewing, invigo:afing and
beautifying the HAIR, removing the scurf,
dandruff, and all affections of the scalp, and curing
eruptions on the skin, diseases of the glands, mus
cles and integuments, and relieving stings, cuts,
bruises, sprains. &c. With this preparation '‘there
is n > such word as fail.” The first journals in
America, medical men of the highest eminence,
prominent citizens of ail professions; and ladies
who have used it for years in their dressing rooms
and nurseries, admit with one accord, that for im
pairing vigor, gloss, luxuriance and curl to the
hair, eradicating scurf and dandruff, healing
wounds, curing contusions, sprains, stings, &c.,
and relieving diseases of the skin, the glands and
the musclesjii has no equai among the multitude
ot compounds advertised in the pubiic prints, or
used in private practice. In cheapness as wed as
efficacy, Barry’s Tricopherous is unrivalleu. The
immense cash sales of the article have enabled
the inventor to supply it at retail, at 25 cents per
bottie, which is from 50 to 100 per cent less than
the pr.ee of any other preparation for the hair now
in ’ se. I’he scien.itic treatise on the hair and the
! s kin, (embracing valuable directions for the cul
: tui e and preservation of Nature’s choicest orna*
! ment,) in which each bottle is enclosed, is alone
| worth the money.
i The affinity between the membranes which con
i stitute the skin, and the hair which draws its sus
! euance from this triple envelope is very close.—
j All diseases ol the hair originate in the skin of the
head. It the pores of the sca p are clogged, or it
the blood and other fluids do not circulate freely
through the smau . esseis which feed the root with
m( isture, and impart to the fibres, the result is
scurf, dandruff, shedding of the hair, graveness,
| dryness and harshness oi the ligaments, and entire
baldness, as the case may oe. Stimulate tfie sain
to healthful action with the Tricopt erous, and the
to* piti vessels, recovering their activity, will anni
hilate the disease. In ail affections of the skin,
and oi the substrata of muscles and integuments,
the process and the effect are the same. It is
upon the skin, the muscular fibre, and the glands,
that the Tricopherous has its specific action, and
in all affections and injury of these organs, it is a
sovereign remedy.

AMONG the many and important discoveries
of this eneration, is one whose fame will
be written, as with a sunbeam, in the history of
the past. SANDS’ SARSAPARILLA stands
lorth alone, and by its own works proclaims its
power—that mute eloquence so irresistibly affect
ing in the appeals of the suffering for relief, has
been answered. Thousands of cases of disease
have been cured by this nvaluable medicine.su b
as are Dot furnished in the records of time. These
things are not done in secret places, or in some
iu known town, but are performed in our princi
pal cities and public places. They are brought
before the world to substantiate, beyond doubt, the
healing virtues of this preparation ; and the facts
unf.dcted, althi ugh gigantic, are as plain as the
light of day.
The Saisapariila is combined with the most ef
fectual aids, the most saiutaiy productions, the
most potent simples of the vegetable kingdom ;
and its unprecedented success in the restoration
to health of those who had long pined under the
most distressing chronic maladies, has given it an
exalted character—furnishing, as it Joes, evidence
of its own intrinsic value, and recommending it to
the afflicted in terms the afflicted only can know.
It has long been a most importan desideratum in
the practice of medicine, to obtain a remedy stm
ilar to this—one that would act on the liver, stom
ach. and bowels with ali the precision fnd potency
of mineral preparations, yet without any of their
deleterious effects upon the vital powers of the
system Although po sessed of powerful healing
properties,it is entirely harmless, a d will not in
jure the most delicate constitution. When in per
fect healih, no effect is produced by its use, ex
cept an increase of appetite ; but when disease is
seated iu the frame, amkearrying fast its victi «
along the path of life, than its mjsterious influ
ence is felt and seen ; it enkindles new life and
vigor, and brings health and strength to the suffer
ing and diseased.
SCROFULOUS AFFECTION OF THE EYES.
Winchester, Ky., Oct. 29, i 849.
A. B. & D. Sands— Gentlemen: I would not
have presumed to write to you, if it was not my
duty to let the. pubiic know the almost miraclous
effect your Sarsaparilla has had upon me. My
limbs were covered with ulcerous sores, so that I
could not walk during the whole spring ai d sum
mer. In this situation I commenced the use of
your Sarsaparilla, and after taking two bottles n as
entirely cured. 1 must al o tell you of another
wonderful cure. My brother was afflicted with
this scrofula in his herd, so b.id his physician toid
him the loss of his sight was inevitable, and perm
anent blindness seemed to be his tat ?. Three bot
tles entirely rests red his sight, and we cannot but
recommend all similarly afflicted to use bands’
Sarsaparilla. Yours truly.

the debility and great prostration of strength that
