GALVAN 1C li 1N G S
MAGNETIC F 1.17 ID.
I remarkable iuvention. which has received the
almost universal approbation of the medical pro
. 0“s-ion ol Great Britain, comprises an entirely new ap
: plication ol Galvanism, as a remedial agent, bv means of
which the ordinary Galvanic Bakeries, Electric and Mag
netic Machines,&c., are entirely dispensed with, and the
mysterious powers of Galvanism applied without any
, ol the objections which are inseperable from the pene
• j rai mode now in use. The strong doses, and at irregu
f far intervals, in which Galvanism is applied by tbe Ma
s 1 chines, has been pronounced, as cr a fair and impartial
I trial, to he decidedly injurious, and it was to remedy
I this radical defect, that this new application was pro
| jected, which after unceasing toil and perseverance, has ;
t been brought to its present state of perleetiou. The i
Galvanic Bings answer all the purposes of the most i
• expensive Machines, and iu many other respect* are
. more safe and certain ia accomplishing tho desired
effect.
• The Galvanic Rings, used in connection with the
• Magnetic Fluid, a q confidently recommended in all :
D SORDERS WHICH ARISE FROM AN ENFEEBLED OR UN- j
) HEATHY STATE OF THE NERVOUS OR VITAL SYSTEM,and I
3 these < omplair,is are among tbe most painful and uni- i
r versal to which we are subject. They arise, without ex- *
ceplion, from one simple cause—a derangement of the
Nervous system—audit was in these cases that other
“ remedies” having so often Giled, a new agent was
i greatly needed. Which it is confidently believed, bas
’ I been found in the proper and judicious application of
i Galvanism.
The Galvanic Rings have been used with entiresuc
cess in all cases of Rheumatism, acute or chronic, ap
plvingtothe head,face orlimhs ; Gout, Tic-Doloreux,
Toothache, Bronchitis. Vertigo, Nervous or jsick
Headache, Indigestion, Paralyses, Palsy, Epilepsy,
' Fits, Cramp, Palpitation of the Heart, Appoplexy,
! Stiffness f Joints. Spinal Complaints, Ku.mp.ago,
Neuralgia, Nervous Tremors, Dizziness of the
j Head, Fains in the Chest and Side. General Deeili
i ty, Deficiency of Nervous and Physical Energy,
and alt. Nervous Disorders. In cases of confirmed
| Dyspepsia, which is simply a nervous derangement of
| the digestive organs, they have been found equally suc
; J cessfui. Their extraordinary effects upon the system
must be witnessed lobe believed, and as a certain pre
ventive for the preceding complaints they are equal- |
ly recommended. The Kings are of different prices,
being made of all sizes, and of various ornamental pat- i
terns, and can be worn by the niostdelicate female without ■
■ the slightest inconvenience. In fact the sensation is ,
i rather agreeable than otherwise.
! The Galvanic Belts, Bracelets, Bands,
Garters, Necklaces, A-c.
In some cases of a very severe character and of long
| standing, the power as applied by the Galvanic Rings
is not sufficient to arrestthe progress Os disease and ulri- :
i matnly to restore health. The improvecLmodification in i
j the Galvan c Belts, Bracelets, Acc., entirely renie
! dies this objection ; any degree of power that is required
I can readily he obtained, and no complaint which the j
mysterious agent of Galvanism can effect will fail to lie
permanently relieved. These articles are adapted to the
waist, arms, wrists, limbs, ancles or any part of ihe body !
with perfect convenience. The Galvanic Necklaces ’
are used with greater benefit in rases of Bronchitis or
affections of the throat generally ; also in cases of Ner- I
vous Deafness; ami with almost uniform success as a !
preventive for Apoplexy, Epileptic Fits, and similar j
i complaints.
Christie’s Magnetic Fluid.
I Is issued in connection with the Galvanic Rings. and
; all their modifications. This composition has been pro
j uounced by the French Chemists to be one of the most
| extraordinary discoveries of modern science. It is be
lieved to possess a remarkable power of RENDERinc the
Nerves sehsitive to Galvauic actiou, by these means
| causing a circulation of the influence at the seat of dis- |
ease, and thus giving rapid and permanent relief. No
i other composition in chemistry is known to produce the ,
same effect or to impart a similar property to the nervous '
j system by means of an outward local application. The
Maguetic Fluid contains nothing capable of tbeslight- j
1 est injury, its application is agreeable, and it is harmless
in its action as it is beneficial in its resuk. Full explana
: tions and directions accompany it. The combined in- :
! volitions are in every way perfectly 'harmless; they are ■
at prices within reach of all, and the discoverer only rc- *
I quests a fair trial, as a test of their surprising efficacy j
I and permanent benefit.
I Christie’s Galvauic Strengthening Plas
teie.
These articles form another valuable application of j
the mysterious influence of Galvan ism. They are an i
important adjunct to the genuine Galvauic Riiigs and !
their modifications, acting upon the same principle, but
h iving this advantage of more local applica ion. They j
j are confidently recommended as a valuable addition in ,
, the speedy cure of Rheumatism, acute or chronic ; in ■
all nervous complaints, and as a positive remedy in cases
of Pain and Weak..ess in the Chest or Back, Pain in the
Side, in Asthma ic Affections, and in Weakness or Op- J
pression of the Pulmonary Organs. In Spinal Com
plaint.*; their effects are of the most decided character,
• and they have often been used with complete success, j
They are also of the greatest advantage in Pain* and
Weakness of the Breast, and are highly recommended
! for many of those complaints to which females are
especially liable. As an effectual moans for Mrengthen
ing tbe system when debilitated with disease or other
causes; as a certain aid in Constitutional Weakness, as a
i Preventive for Colds and in all affections of the Chest
! generally the Galvanic Strengthening Plaster will he
| found of greatand permaneniadvautage. In a few words,
i it embraces all the virtues of the best tonic preparation
: with the important addition of the Galvnuie influence,
I which is neither impaired or exhausted, tviiileihe action

TO NEGLECT USING THE GENUINE
! DR. TAYLOR’S BALSA3I OF LIVERWORT.
375 Bowery, N, Y.
MUST those be who have Pulmonary Consumption,
or any affection of the Lungs. Liver or Chest,
j after reading ihe following letter, just received from a
nnst respectable inhabitant of Westchester County
New York.
Tarrytown, Aug. 9, 1?44.
Dear Doctor—lt is difficult to find words to express the
gratitude which I feel towards yon for the interest you
have taken to relieve me in my distress. In tho year
18-12 1 contracted a fi -avy cold, which finally settled oa
my lungs; in a tew months after I commenced coughing
and raising offensive matter, which smelt very bail.
Having hoard that Sherman's Lozenges were good fur a
cough 1 tried a few boxes of them, but they had not the
least effect on me. I then called in the best physician in the
place, whoa tended me a few months, but without sue.
ces.*; I then saw an advertisement in one of the city
papers of Wistar’s Balsam of Wild Cherry, ot which I
pun based three bottles, at the corner of Fulton and Nas
sau streets, but 1 could not perceive I e least beneficial
effect from if, on the contrary 1 think it was a great in
jury to me. Shortly after using it I commenced raising
blood iu large quantities; I was taken down sick and
confined to the house for three months, during which
I time I lost my appetite and fell away very last; 1 was
then induced to consult Dr. Curtisof New York, (one of
i the best physicians in the city.) but he could do mono
i good. 1 again become worse, anil was confined to the
1 house all last avid ter and spring, and I gave up all hope of
ever getting any better, as I again raised blood and my
cough was very severe, together with a pain in my brea.-t
: and under the shoulder blade. My friends now gave up
i all hope of my recovering, and thought every day was
the last. About this time I hoard of your BALAAM OF
LIVERWORT being good fur consumption , but I was
i like many others, and was fearful that it might be a regu
-1 lar humbug; I however finally consented to try it, as I
thought it could make me no worse. My brother th-n
purchased a bottle of it at 375 Bowery, N. Y. and I roni
j menced taking it. and by the lime I had used one bottle
full I could sleep nil night, and in the morning 1 had an
appetite for my breakfast. IstHl keep on taking it and
; find great benefit from it—the pain in my breast is entire
ly gone, and 1 raise no more blood. W ithin the last two
j months I have gained in weight *ix pounds and much in
i strong h. 1 would therefore advise all who have any
1 affec ion of the Lungs or Liver to try the Genuine Dr.
Taylor’s Balsam of Liverwort, for I truly believe it to
; bethe best remedy in existence for disease? of the Lungs
or Liver. Should any one doubt the above statement re
lative to your valuable medicine, let bun call on me, and
I will convince them ofits virtue.
Yours respectfully, C. DE REVERE.

BAILEY’S HIGHLY CONCEN
THATED COMPOUND FLUID
EXTRACT OF SARSAPARILLA.
THIS preparation of Sarsapurrilla, is in most cases,
found to be preferable to the Syrups, on account
of not creating acidity of the Stomach, which the sac
charine matter contained in the Syrup, is apt to do,
where its use has been long continued. The Fluid Ez
: tract effectually obviates this difficulty; and may be used
• for any length of time, with increased benefit.

LIVER AND DYSPEPTIC
IN offering this valuable medicine to the people
of Georgia, for the relief and cure of many dis
eases incident to a southern climate, I do not claim
for it infalibiljty; neither do 1 say it will cure all
I diseases. But in Chronic Liver Affections and Dysr
pepsia, I can confidently advise and recommend its
use, from my personal observation and use of the
article in my own practice. This article is favorar
bly received wherever it has been used. lam al
lowed to refer to Mr. George Heard of Troup, Mr.
John Warren of Columbus, Mr. McKaffee of Cobb,
I Mr. Asbnry Hull of Athens, Mr. William D. 'Fer
rell of Putnam, Rev. John E- Dawson of Lagrange;
to which a great number of names might be added,
. who bear their testimony to its value. Dr. Henry
; Branham has used this medicine in his own case,
and has prescribed it to many others, gives it as his
| opinion, that it is one of the safest and most valuar
; ble medicines that can be used in imperfect diges
! lion, liver complaints, constipation and irregular
state of the bowels. It is useful in bilious corn t
t plaints, to persons recovering from bilious feversL,
and in sick or nervous head-ache. To pregnant
i women, who are subject to costiveness, this raedi
; cine is well suited. In regulating the state of the
; stomach and bowels, and promoting digestion, it i*
| particularly useful.
I could append a long list of certificates, but for
; hear, prefering to rely on the virtues of the medi-
J cine to sustain itself. The medicine is a gemlo
and certain cathartic, tonic and sudorific.
