School Opens Monday
in The New
First Term In The New
School Building. Compe¬
tent Teachers In Charge.
The Homerville Public school
will open for the spring term
Monday January 2nd. 1911.
This will be the first session
to be taught in the new building,
which is just completed. The buii
ding is a modern brick strncture,
and cost, in round figures, about
$8000.00- and the fnrniture cost
another thousand. For beauty and
convenience, the building is not
equalled by any of the school bui]
,
dings in towns of equal population
in this entire section.
The building was built by
town of Homerville from the pro-
eeeds of a bonded debt on the ,,
property.within the town limits,
and although the entire school
district and the county' at large
will reap the benefits of the new
bnilding, no burden has been
placed on them.
The trustees of the school have
securedjthe services of a compel
entjeoros of teachers, and are to be
complimented on their selections,
Tite teach'.'Ts are Prof. r®.
Benge, Boling Green, Ky., Miss
CatheryneG Milner, Covington,
Ky., and Miss Mona Speck, also
of Kentucky.
The teachers come highly re¬
commended as thoroughly compe¬
tent to teach all the common
branches, the sciences and the
languages, and everything points
to a successful school term.
