TO INSPECT SEWERAGE SYSTEM.
Bids Wlli Be Received by Board of
Health.
Bids will be received until noon
Wednesday. Feb. 26, 1902, for the in
spection of file sewerage system of
the city of Brunswick, upon the fol
lowing conditions: the inspections are
to be made under the supervision ol
the Board of Health, and are to com
prise the passing through all of the
main sewers and laterals, of such ap
pliances as will determine that said
sewers and laterals are clear of all
sand, dirt, trash, or anything likely to
impede the proper How of sewage in
stfflTsewers. A report shall lie made
to the Board of Health* by the party
inspecting, on the condition which
each sewer or lateral shall have
shown: and in' case of obstructions the
reason of such shall be determined as
near as possible, to enable a proper
estimate for its clearance, and a re
port be made as above. Should any
contrivance or appliance list'd for such
inspection become lodged in the sew
er, the amount stated in biu shall in
clude its i t moal and the replacing of
the sewer in its original condition.

of the Hush tanks. The plan of the
sewera g system on file in the City
Kngineei's office, shall be the basis
of the inspection. A bond of five hun
dred dollars, ($5110), will be required,
indemnifying the city against any
damage to the sewerage system. No
more than thirty days shall be con
sumed tor the inspection and report,
dated from acceptance of bid.

any and all bid*.

The undersigned by virtue, and no
ting under authority of an order of
the court of Ordinary of said county
granted at the January term 1902, will
sell at public outcry, before the court
house door in said county, between
the hours of ten and four o’clock ot
that day, on the first Tuesday in, il
being the 4th. day of March’ 1902,
to the highest and Dost bidder, that
tract, or body of land containing thirty
five acres, more or less, lying in said
county, being of irregular shape, and
hounded northward, eastward and
westward by lands of Malachi Green,
and southward by lands of the estate
of the late G. W. Wright, and which
lands are accurately and fully des
cribed, and a plot thereof given, m
the petition to said court for leave to
sell the same, and to which for des
cription reference is had. Said lands
sold as the property of the estate of

PETITION FOR INCORPORATION.
STATE OF GEORGIA,
GLYNN COUNTY.
To the superior court of said county:
The petition of B. Carreras, 1. 1..
Schuyler, and Fred Pfeiffer, who aver
■ themselves to be citizens of the
I United States anil of the State ol
Georgia, and residents of the city of
Brunswick, in said State and county,
respectfully shows:
1. That petitioners desire to form
a corporation under the provisions
of section 2:151) et seep of the civil
code of i 895 of tin* State of Georgia,
to exist for the full end and term of
twenty (20) years, with privilege of
renewal avoiding to law, and the same
to bo known as the “Salamia Lumber
Company."
2. That under such corporate name
they desire to carry on the business of
of buying, selling, handling and for
warding lumber of all classes; to buy
and sell and advance money on tim
ber lands, to. purchase, lease, own and
operate sawmills, dry kilns and other
plants for the manufacture or treat
ment of all classes of lumber.
To buy and sell naval stores
and all other commercial product;;;
to. handle the same on commission
as brokers; to advance money and
take security therefor on real and
personal property, ami to do and per
form generally each and every char- j
actor of business incident to the pur
poses of said incorporation, as herein
Set out.
1. The capital stock of the said cor
poration shall be the sum of twenty
five thousand dollars ($25,000), no
part of which has yet been paid in,
hut. before commencing business under
a charter granted hereby, petitioners
and their associates will comply with
the provisions of the law of Georgia
with reference to the payment of the
minimum capital tiFreby required
Said capital stock shall he devidee
into shares of one hundred dollars,
and each share of stock shall bo en
titled to otic vote at all corporate
meetings of the stockholders. Said
capital stock shall he: decreased at any
lone to any sum not less than five
thousand dollars or be increased from
time to time to a sum not exceed mg
one hundrer thousand dollars upon
two thirds of the capital stock then
outstanuing voting for such increase
or decrease, as the case may he.
5. The officers of said company
tueir titles and powers, duties, sal
aries and emoluments, shall be estab
lished and fixed frour time to time by
the board of directors of said com
pany, who shall be selected from the
stockholders themselves, and which
hoard of directors shall consist of not less
than three nor more than seven per
sons, accordingly as tile stockholders
shall from time to time fix.
6. In addition to the foregoing,
your petitioners desire all of the us
ual powers granted by law to corpora
tions, including he po\Vpr to sue and
be sued, plead and be impleaded, to
have and use a common seal, to make
by-laws for the government of its af
fairs, and to regulate the transaction
of its business, not contrary to law,
and to have all of to rights, duties ami
privileges given by the law of Georgia
to private corporations.
